Hi, I have 2013 535i x-drive m sport, with SAT (paddle shifters). Launch control doesnt seem to be working for me as the flag does not show when 1. I drive the car for 30 minutes until its all warmed up, 2. put the car in sport+, 3. put the shifter to the left so its in S, 4. press and hold brake, 5. press the gas past the kickdown. I will try to see if i can code it through EGS module. Will update you guys tomorrow. PS: how does launch control/brake method affect the car in terms of reliability? I plan on keeping my car for a while and dont want to damage the mechanics. Ignore the troll

Here's a thread that might help, although I don't think anyone has been able to get it to work. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=796189 As far as damage, BMW states to limit the usage by making sure to give the powertain time to cool down between launches, which raises concerns for me about longevity. I never saw any confirmation as to whether the torque converter was beefed up starting in 2014 in order to handle LC. |

Sorry for the very late reply, I have successfully enabled launch control on my 2013 F10 535ix. Even if you have the SAT with paddle shifters it doesn't come pre enabled, mine didn't so that's what's in assuming. All you have to do is go into EGS module and find LC, then enable the one in Sport+ and also the one with DSC off. Now my car launches like crazy, while displaying the checkered flag, and as added plus you get kick back at every shift. I know anything is possible when you can code. Also enabled break force when stopping hard. |

Hello,
so guys, is there any possibility to get launc control activated on my F10 535i MY 2011 ? I updated all of the cars ECU-s on my dealer, newest I-level now. I was abel to code LC_active in EGS, I also retrofitted 2TB to VO and VO coded the car with that 2TB! Btw my car has no GWS module highlited in the list, no CAFD-s there. Still when I jam the brakes on Sport + and hit the gas to klick/kickdown then @ 1500-2000rpm the rear wheels are start to spin while the brake could not hold them not spinning. This function is not working on my car... Siim |

Launch Control Coding
You have to code this feature like I did with my 2013 535ix.
In the EGS Module: Enable Launch Control by navigating to 3000 option then expand it. You will see "LC" in the list. Set it to "aktiv" Then in the DSC2 Module: Go to "LaunchControl and EGS" and expand the list. You will see "LC". Set it also to aktiv. Cheers After coding. Put car into sport+, move the zf8 speed gearbox to the left in sport transmission mode (S1 mode, not M1 mode) , then hold brake with left foot, and stomp race past the click down with right foot. You will see checkered flag saying launch control active. Then release brake. You can also do this with traction control fully off. |
