A guy in a corsa came out of a side street into my rear passenger door, first I knew of it was when all the airbags deployed!

When they came down I was on the opposite side of the road and went head on into a Mini.

Everyone ok bar some general whiplash injuries, but can't believe a Corsa and a Mini wrote off my X5. Having said that luckily the X saved my bacon.

It was my X5 that had the aftermarket power upgrade. Can't upgrade post 2010 BMW's privately now as BMW have locked the ECU's out. so You now have to pay BMW four times the amount for less than half the power increase achievable privately...

RIP Beast, going to have to think of a new user name!

Just had a coat of Swiss Wax two days before the accident and a new battery a week before...

I am in discussion with a co who is doing them, or at the very least finalising...so should not be long.

Amazing that a car is written off so easily these days. This is obviously not an inconsiderable crash but 90% of the car is good as new still - or at least looks it to my untrained eye.

I insisted that BMW repair it and that's why they wrote it off. To be honest I didn't want it back after I had seen it in that state...

Going in on Friday to have calipers and wheel hubs painted, I hate the look of these when they rust.

Question is which colour? Hubs will be black, calipers I'm not too sure... Black, M Sport Red or M Sport Blue?
