Hi All
Just thought to inrtoduce myself here and start a thread on the progress of my car.

This is my 3rd bmw. I had E90 (320i) and E91 (330d) in the past and both converted to LCI using OEM bmw parts.
And I ended up buying F10 520d SE. Reason to buy SE is that I was going to change some parts of suspension on M sports (as I have done on previous cars) therefore M sport does not bring anything additional to me. Body kit was going to be changed as well.
My Previous E90

My Previous E91

So I bought
2011 520d SE in Sophisto Grey F10 with Sport auto transmission.

Specs:

Heated leather seats
Heated steering wheel
Sport automatic transmission
Flappy paddles on Steering wheel
Deleted model lettering
Glass sunroof
Interior mirror with automatic dip
Through loading system + rear folding seats
Headlight cleaning system
Front and rear PDCProfessional navigation
Combox
6FL (usb/ audio interface)
6NF (music interface) and looking for iphone 5 media cradle
6NR (bmw applications with internet radio) / coded myself
BMW online
BMW internet
Voice control
Gloss black interior trim

A semi-decent photo of it

Future Plans:
- M5 body kit without side skirts / M badges
- 20 inch wheels
- Xenon retrofit
- Quad exhaust with M5 kit
- TV tuner with CIC / or NBT retrofit
- eibach pro
- Trunk Spoiler
- Front bumper lip?
- Speedometer changed to mid level 6WA (gives more information)
- Gloss black trims around the windows
- Fx tuning has been cracked and different companies are launching remapping servies new years. So perhaps a remap or tunning box.

Progress so far:
- M5 body kit installed
- 20 inch wheels bought and on the car
- HID kit installed as I had jet washers already
- Trunk Spoiler installed
- Gloss black trim window surrounds
- Booked for Quad exhaust

2.5K already gone on the car so far.... I reckon mods will go in the vicinity of 4K when I finish.

Can anybody recommend a garage who can install Eibach pro on F10 in Essex?

What hid kit did you go for ? Was there any problems afterwards, is there an improvement over the standard lights ?

Ebay item no: 171453158717

Despite of me coding and deactivating the bulb error check, it gave me errors. So I had to use the resistors which came with the kit and that resolve any flickering / errors.

No problems afterward. Kit came with 6000K bubls which were bluish and I had to buy 5000K bulbs again. If you were to buy this kit, I would suggest you to go for 5000K bulbs as they are closer to oem colour.

I must say that it is a hard work to fit them but not impossible. My front bumper was off (as body kit was being fitted) so I took advantage of it and fitted them. Its only a day since I got my car back so cannot comment on the reliability.

HID is defo better than standard halogen bulbs however nowhere near OEM xenons. I had OEM xenons retrofitted on E90 and E91 and they were way brighter than these HID kits. Till I get xenon headlights on a reasonable price, I will have to live with HID kit.

Car is not ready to do a proper photo shot. It is like 4X4 with SE suspension and 20 inch wheels.

I am trying to find somebody who is reasonable to install Eibach on F10.

Here are two quick crappy iphone shots.

Looking good, with window tints and sport springs it'll look great. Have you looked at the M Performance splitter, that looks great too!

Looking sexy as hell already Maks. Cant wait to see it when its all done! Ur e90 was nice but this is the next level. Personally i'd say tint the rear windows and perhaps leave the rear spoiler? Did u change the headlight clusters as well? coz it looks different somehow.

Definitely need tints, darker rear and lighter front imo

Also need to wrap the chrome around the side indicators in the front wings

Craig
Its M5 body kit so cant have any M sports performance parts.
Will have to look at M5 front lip.
Its about £300 once done.
Once I get the car lowered, I will check.
Car is already looking good, getting compliments wherever I go.
Can't believe that different body kit and wheels make so much difference.

Thanks mate.
Did not change the headlight cluster. Its deception due to M5 bumper.
I may go for light tint all around.
Rear boot spoiler is already on if you zoom second photo, you'll be able to see.
Miss my 330d though! May put some photos in my first post.

Funny you saying it, I was looking at chrome side indicators.
Will check if my body shop can match it to the rest of gloss black.
Otherwise will but a pair off ebay in black colour with leds.

Wasn't sure about the wheels when I purchased them as they were not aggressive enough.
But turned out to be decent on F10 and suit subtle designing of F10.

I got mine vinyl wrapped and it works well, but car was in having some other parts wrapped at the same time

You going to tint out/change the rear lights?

Can we have photos of what you have done on your car?
We need more threads on mods to share ideas?
Not sure about tinting the rear lights.
Done it on my e90 and did not like them. It was only light tint and car was black. Reverted it back to standard.

Did you wrap the window trim yourself or buy the shadowline trims from BMW?
