BMW 550i exhaust help
Hi, I have a 2014 550i, which is my first car and and looking for help on the exhaust setup. I was looking to do a resonator delete and put in a X-pipe and have the muffler delete, but my only worry is, will I get a CEL if I take off the OEM muffler since it has the vacuum lines connected to the exhaust flaps.

Do yourself a favor and invest in some high flow mufflers and resonators. It will sound horrible with no resonators or mufflers. I have the same car with downpipes and full shteigen exhaust that has resonators in the mid and rear. Tried a delete and you make a 70-80k sticker price car sound like hot garbage.

We're not trying to judge you, at the end of the day it's your car, but unless you feel like driving around with 100% mind-numbing drone, you should look at investing some $$$ in a proper setup vs just removing parts. Quote:
