Need your help guys, Buy a N63 of 2011, safe or not?

Hy guys

I was going to buy next week an 650 xdrive F13 with 70000km, 11/2011. The deal is almost done but I did some search tonight and I saw a lot of issues with that engine. Injectors, battery replacement every year, oil consumption, chain, vaccum pump...

The problem is that i Switzerland there is no CCP so if I have any trouble, it will be for me and the car has no warranty anymore.

Should I cancel this deal? This N63 is not sold in europe like in USA so I want to know if the person here will do without the CCP

Thank you for your help

Seems like you answered your own question my man. I wouldn't risk it, but in the end it's up to you.

Best of luck either way!

I wouldn't touch this car if it didn't or couldn't have the CCP done to it .

Ok thanks guys, I will call the dealer and tell him that I will not take it without warranty that cover all that issues, for 12 or 24 month.

I found out that the transfer box has 11 part number...It's scary (:

It's a beautiful model, and really comes down to the price which you didn't include.

For $1 you would obviously buy it, for $50K you wouldn't. So someplace in the middle the answer shifts from buy to don't buy. The important thing is to know what you are getting in to and assess the known risk against the price point.

Good luck whatever you do!

Thanks guys, I canceled since the garage didn't want to do me a warranty on it. The bis issue for me was the chain, for the rest, it was not that horrible since I changed, injectors, HPFP, water pumpe...on my 335 by myself.

You made a good decision, I would never buy a bmw without a warranty. Me and my best friend both bought used bmws with warranties about 4 months apart last year, he got an 11' x5M and I got an 11' 550i M sport. Mine has been in for CCP, HPFP LPFP,battery, oil and waterlines to the turbos and 2 EDC shocks in the first 5 months in 3k miles. His has been to the dealer like 15-20 times and is currently at the dealer as I write this, We see him in a loaner more often than his car. We've never had cars with sooooo many problems, I word to the wise "never buy a bmw without a warranty" you will regret it.

good decision, when I bought mine I was lucky to still be under factory warranty for almost a whole year and got alot of issues taken care of as well the CCP.

now after a bunch of new parts my car runs pretty good and no issues, I do have a 3rd party warranty, when that comes close to ending so will my ownership of the car =[
