JB4 lag fix F10 535i

Hey guys I have some lag issue since muffler delete. I can't remember what settings I can play with in jb4 to fix lag. I'm running 7.25 gals of e85 as well and hit 17-18psi but lag has increased since muffler delete.

No codes. Only other mods BMS intake. Thx

I had lag after my delete, but I am running a flash tune so additional settings for me. A DP seems to have helped, but not entirely. After having custom j pipes added my lag disappeared and I had a notable increase in responsiveness and TQ.

They say that muffler delete and DP should just help since we have turbos. I will agree that it does at freeway speeds. Street usage it's not the best application.

So not sure how JB4 deals with that maybe higher initial boost? and if there is a setting that deals with a muffler delete and it fixes the lag give us your review.

I did muffler delete, then added magnaflow because delete didn't sound like I was hoping. Probably better on a 8 cylinder. Then there was too much drone and added the j pipes. After that I noticed more torque came back. Then I thought what if I had done the delete and and j pipes to eliminate drone??? Oh well, was already in too deep with exhaust mods and I'm happy with the outcome. Here a pic of my set up. Can't wait to hear yours with delete and j pipes. Hit me up if you any questions on it. I had them move the support bar for the pipes a little.

Sounds like going muffler delete isn't the way to go.

It did help slightly with lag, but ever so slightly. It's noticeable, but that and a muffler delete reintroduced lag. The DP, magna flow still had lag. DP, magna flow and jpipes fixed the lag. Getting tired of that rasp and gas smell though from the DP.

Ok so downloaded the octave analyzer app. Please advise how would I find out which frequency. It is while driving the car what I could hear inside or just idle pressing on gas I would be able to figure it out. Thx for all ur help.

Roll the windows up, and get to the speed that you think has the worst part of the drone. Start recording. Mine was around 45 mph at a frequency causing a low bass that would vibrate the inside of the car, 100mhz. So may math was (1100/100)/4 *12= 33 inches of pipe.

33 inches each side may sound dumb just wanna make sure. Lol honesty I'm doing more for lag fix drone isn't that bad.

Ok so got it done sounds little deeper but I think I have lost some top end torque vs gaining any low end smh. Might just drive few days to absorb changes and see what I feel may go back reverse the process if not 100% satisfied.

Remember mine is with a straight through muffler and a j pipe. Also none of this readily available for our cars so we're in uncharted territory. You're saying that the j pipe cleaned up the sound, but you took a loss on top end torque?

Hmmmm...all for muffler delete fellows? I'm still in the market for an exhaust and this was really my 1st option but is it a hit and miss or do all 535's gonna have the same low end issue?

So took J pipe off removed the resonator with magnaflow X pipe.

So far I'm happy. Not much low end lag fix but make it up more than enough at high end.
