I was thinking that when I was driving back from lunch. Here in the US, we're stuck with all these maligned packages unless we special order (read: pay out the ass).

Seriously, why does a single guy need headed rear seats? But I had to get them if I wanted the cold weather package Well wait... maybe they'll come in handy one night! haha

Anyway, I'm of course partial to your color selection, but the options list is well chosen IMHO.

I am sure its possible, but we are generally stuck to buying packages which always have 2 out of 4 things you dont need.

Be glad that you don't have to pay close to 4k for Navigation only, like in Europe.
I think you need a reality check when it comes to pricing and options.
A 535d, fully spec'd can cost over 120 - 130k US. It's around 100,000Euro in full spec. Now think about a 535i costing that much and realize how blessed you are with your pricing.
Don't nitpick when you get all European options and don't have to pay even 50% than what we do for them.

Watch your tone, buddy. Don't be mad at me because I don't like the way auto companies package things. As for overall cost between countries, I imagine the difference has to more to do with taxes and tariffs than BMW or the way it packages it's options.

I am well aware of EU and Asian pricing, thank you. I am not complaining about price, just commenting about how we get bundled pricing, and cannot pick and price seperately.

Exactly! Definitely a few options on the UK configurator page that I'd love to have but don't see in the US version. The F10 M5 is the ultimate in configurability ... sure seems like every single option can be chosen individually.

I`ll send some pics when it arrives. Also BMW are not charging for Prof Sat Nav at the moment...for a while it was a freebie...quite unusual for BMW.

Hmm...and I think I changed my specification for the car 5 or 6 times. On top of that I changed the color from Carbon Black to Sophisto Grey in the last minute :-P
