How long for First Service?

I have 15,000 miles on my 528i and the computer shows I'm not due for another 3000 miles. Anyone have a similar experience?

I usually pay for one oil change between BMW's recommended intervals. Had one done at 7.5k miles, the computer states right around 15k.

Mine is tracking right toward 15k (I am at 2k now), but we'll see when we get close

I have 9,500 on the odometer with another 8,000 to go before first service. I'll be pushing my SA to change the oil at 12 months or about 15,000 miles.

My 520d wanted to visit service after 24 000 km (and 7,9 l/100 km average consumption). Now the car shows 13 000 km to service after 33000 km driven overall.

Your oil change interval is also dependent on your driving style so it might be earlier for some and later for others. I have driven BMW's for the last 12 years and I always do an oil change in between the factory intervals. Probably not necessary, but something about oil in a car for 15k miles doesn't sit well with me.

+1, That's exactly what I do. $100 between change for a cheap insurance.

Yeah. I will do one around 7.5k. Mine is almost 1 year old and currently at 4K. I mainly drive it on weekends.
