Confirmed. Shaking getting less and less everyday. Seems the old pad material was bad or crystallized. The colour of the rotor always looked dull, burnt, etc.
I should have known as I'm always telling BMW owners if "them rotors aint shining" there's a problem. Thought it was different on my f10. Nope!! My fronts now shine like the rear and my cold bite brake force is back. Little bit less dusting and now i see why I was using more rear pads than front. I'm such an idiot !

did it cause your rotors to warp at all?

Well people use the term "warped" when it comes to brake rotors too loosely.
Most of the time you suffer from hot spots on your rotor from hard braking and rapid cooling with the pad locked for example. So the rotor surface is not consistent, hence the pad will grab the different surfaces with different force, so it feels like it warped. Hope that makes sense? lol.

mine seems to be getting better as the new "proper" pads are cutting into the surface nicely. Eventually i will grab some new rotors and pads. I should have picked up on this sooner. oh well.
