I can say on mine weather is making a HUGE difference here. Fall is finally here and I have been able to make a few logging runs and I am getting to over 20 PSI boost on the PS2. It is finally allowing me to go back to fine tuning fueling, and I have made some PI adjustments since my last log. I think I still may have a minor boost leak or need to adjust WG actuator. It's nice to see proper timing again from the lower IATs. I will be running at NFZ AZ Oct. 22, and plan to be on the dyno before then. Unfortunately I have been working 6 or 7 days a week the last few weeks so time int he garage has been very limited. I am also trying to get my track build e36 done.

Well well well.....

Alex over at Mission Performance sent me a new flash to push to the DME yesterday afternoon, I was out with my bud doing off road shit and my car was over at Discount getting some new tires mounted. I was getting ever so tires of the AS3+ getting blown off in 1st and a bit in 2nd so I decided to just rip off the bandaid and plunk down for a shiny new set of Michelins latest and greatest, the Pilot Sport 4S.

I can no longer overwhelm these tires off the line, and while they do still sing a glorious song they bite hard and thrust the car forward with authority. The new sidewall design is uber pleasing, I love the soft suede like embossing.



I got up early and went out to the car before it got too warm, had it flashed in about 5 minutes and let it warm up a bit.

I strolled around the neighborhood as usually letting her warm up before rolling out onto the freeway feeder road. Up ahead of me I see a yellow C6 Z06 pull out of a gas station onto the feeder. Temp tags still fresh on the rear bumper. Lets see if this guy wants to play.

I managed to meet him at the next light, and line up on his right side. I blipped, he blipped and evened up our noses. Its on.

Light turned green and he didn't go! I ripped off the line with a mega satisfying snarl pop from the tail pipe as I upshifted to 2nd. At this point I think he realized this 4100lb sedan was serious and put the hammer down.

We rolled from about 30mph to 120mph on the feeder, him reeling me in slowly. He started nose to my ass, and ended up nose to my door handle.

One good run deserves another I thought, so I made my way to the left and he followed me up onto the freeway. Took a minute to make our way through the trash but eventually the road opened up and I took off from 70mph or so, I had a solid mile in front of me with no cars in our lane, and him about 4 car lengths back. He took off with me and I watched the speedo rolling off numbers like the gas pump.

3rd, 4th, 5th, went bye bye with a quickness. 6th started around 130 or so. At this point I could see he was starting to gain ground on me, but precious little. Maybe 3-5ft per 10mph.

140, 150 and then the digital 6WB speedometer froze at 155mph. Tachometer kept going though, and I found it quite entertaining the speedometer -just stops-

I stayed in it just a little more, I figure I hit 165mph because it upshifted to 7th before we had to drop anchor for a slow car in the fast lane up ahead blocking the way. 6th runs out of gear at 167ish by my math.

We both immediately made straight for the next exit and got off the freeway. As he overtook me to grab the exit first he gave a thumbs up which I happy returned I seriously doubt he was expecting such a close race with a completely different class of car.





I'm beyond pleased with how the car is progressing with each successive tune now. Alex is really hitting it out of the park now that we have figured out the issues unique to the F10 platform with the Pure Stage 2 doing the work.

Is that the Z06 that makes around 500 - 600 hp and weighs half of yours?
If so, seems you are now making some serious juice!

C6 Z06 shows to be 3150lbs, with a 7.0l V8 making 505hp at 6300 rpm and 470 lb.ft of torque at 4800 rpm. No slouch, and certainly the faster car on paper, but in the real world it fought hard for each inch it made up.

By all accounts it looked and sounded stock, and I'd assume the 6MT a disadvantage up against a 8HP car.

Glad to hear the progress. Just as I was starting to make progress again on mine, summer is back and I will have 100+ degree temps every day this week. Meth for cooling sounds better every day.

Absolutely hilarious and yet not funny at all. Stück, the BMW technician at a shop in Texas that has taken just shy of a full year to still not even prove that he has a Pure Stage 2 turbo in his 535, and was too scared to even post a pull video because of previous speeding tickets is now fearlessly maxing out his 535 at 165mph and racing a Z06. Post another zoomed in tire pic, Stück, because I’m sure that is why so many people read this Tire Thread... oh wait it’s a Turbo Thread.

Max HP = 445HP, Torque = 497 Ft/lb


Outside ambient temp was mid 80's at 10:00AM. It's going to be near 100 degrees today. Cool dry air would help a lot, it was drizzling a little this morning, so the air is still humid as well. I run pump E54 (AZ version of E85) Full time in my car. JB4 shows E-Content at 53%.

I was hoping for a little more, but I am happy with that. I think cooler weather could add 20-30HP. There is always more tuning to continue to do. I slightly overboosted a little bit around 4K RPM and saw some throttle closure as a result.

I am reviewing logs now to know what needs to be done for the future.

I maxed right near 21 PSI boost, and held to over 16 PSI at 6300RPM.
