I removed the factory chrome-tipped non-msport mufflers from my 550i yesterday. They’re in reasonably good shape. The chrome tips are shiny enough on the top, but black and sooted inside and on the bottom.

The mufflers were replaced with Dinan mufflers.

Looking for some wisdom from the crowd- are the old mufflers worth hanging onto or trying to sell? If not, I’ll probably scrap them.

Thats a good question, i think i might hold on to mine, im running Valvetronic universal mufflers that i can use on almost anything.

Looks like the OE mufflers are about $1400 each to replace. So, I’ll be keeping them. Just in case something happens and I need to put them back in.
