Satellite Radio Sound Quality

F10 2011 535

My satellite radio sounds terrible, there's an echo and it sounds like it's playing out of cheap shower radio speakers. All other sources (FM, CD, iPod, Music Collections, DVD) sound great and the audio settings are normal (bass and treble). Anyone else have/resolve this problem?

Love this car, btw. And with all of the other audio sources, I'm coping.

I'm on my third car with satellite radio and I've never gotten anything close to decent sound.I think the technology behind satellite is inadequate to produce good fidelity.

There must be a problem with your car because I've had three BMW's with satellite radio and have encountered great sound other than a few times when I drive in certain locations, it will cut out for a second because of signal blockage. It's probably a loose connection or electronic issue.

I have good quality in my car,
Did you adjust you EQ settings at all?

Tried adjusting the sound via EQ, but no luck - still sounds poor. I'll follow up with the dealer.

Mine sounds ok but maybe I'm not that fussy.

I have Premium 2 and the SAT sound is so much better than three other cars that I have had with SAT. I didn't know satellite radio could sound that good.

I've always had premium sound as well --- that may be why my satellite radio always has sounded great in every car.

Talking

my sat ratio sounds perfect for my ears, although they are not too picky.
