Resonator Delete F10 550i

Hey guys,

Has anyone ever done a resonator delete on a stock 550 exhaust? If so, how does it sound? Looking for a bit more sound from the nearly silent stock exhaust..

I did it on a 2014 650i GC M Sport. The resonator delete does nothing at all. You will want a muffler delete. Check out my vid in the other thread.

It's a nice start IMO, it gives a slightly more aggressive tone.

I just did it with straight pipes instead of X pipe. Soon worth it!

This is kind of off topic, but I personally will probably go with 3in (whether its stock m5 or custom) piping+m5 mufflers. Seems like an awesome bang for the buck option.

it is a pretty fair tradeoff IMO.. sometimes u just cant have both at the same time right? haha..

i will have mine done on monday for muffler delete.. kinda bored with this quite stock sound =(

just so u know, usually a muffler shop will let u hear the result of muffler delete so u can make decision either to finish it off or not, i think u can do a drive test as well (so u know how the drone is).

in my shop they will charge me for $44 IF i think its not the sound that im looking for, and they just put everything right back. i think its really a fair price. they also said that i cant just compare the sound that i hear on youtube with the real one, cuz the sound will be different more or less. they also said i can have both 5 series right next each other with same spec etc and they can sound different each other. many things are affecting the result of the sound, like mileages... i was like WTH?? but yeah thats what they told me.

hope u find this helpful tho but muffler delete is my best bet for $198! i just cant afford those 2k full exhaust, i gotta start small
