Jb4 stage 1 mix up

Hello, everyone need a little help with my jb4 stage 1 for my 535 xdrive. I purchased it over the winter and left it in my friends garage to be installed this summer. I went to grab it the other day and found that he pulled his from his 1 series and placed in same box we cant tell the difference between them. Both are a harness setups is there any way to determine which is which? Can putting the 1 series version on my 535 or vice versa cause any problem? I havent installed yet so Im a total noob. I have the cable to make adjustment any input would be greatly appreciated.

it's the same tune unless he has Jb4

I was told by Terry that it is not the same, if the OP has an F10 it is not interchangeable.

I had to fix this post it is a JB4 stage 1 any help with this matter would be great.

Hook up wires that power jb4 to car, don't connect sensor plugs to car engine. Put car on ACC mode, don't turn on engine (should not hurt if you do), connect laptop to jb4. All you are doing is give jb4 12V.

If you bought the JB4 from Terry then it must have some identification lettering done with a sharpie. The main purpose is for them to know for which model is it so that they don't ship the wrong one. Mine says F10, you can barely see it but it's there.

paul223, I havent hooked it up yet. So I should be able to read the car it is for once its plug in to power and computer?

Grumpy, I did as you suggested and only noted N55 written in sharpie on it nothing about f10.
