Dust trapped in f10 headlights?

Hi guys,

It looks like there's dust inside my headlight cluster, I've read elsewhere that it may be micro stone chips? I've attempted to polish them out with toothpaste but it's made no difference at all. Has anybody got a suggestion of what it may be or how to remedy it?

Cheers

Does it show when it's wet? Get small drop of oil (use vegetable oil) and rub it on there to see if it's on the outside or inside. If the spots temporarily disappear with oil or water, you know it's on the outside.

If it is indeed the outside, you will probably need a more abrasive approach than toothpaste. There's many products that step down from wet sanding to polish headlight lenses in the market.

Hi,

Yeah it does - although not as bad. I know some are micro stone chips which i assume could be polished out, but i'm fairly certain there is something inside too.

Hi

I've got the same with my headlights

I wasn't sure what caused it maybe smaller stone chips. Was going to try glass polish but haven't had the chance yet but something's telling me it's not as simple as this so will try the advice given here.

Thanks

Doesn't look like stone chips - looks like dirty water that dried on there. If it's not on the outside, perhaps you're getting condensation on the inside somehow and as sun beats on it, or it otherwise dries, it's causing spots. It looks like water spots to me.
