Ventilated Seats

Does anyone agree with me that's it unfortunate Ventilated Seats are not offered as a stand-alone option?

Not really... The comfort seats (and heated) are a must, so it makes sense that one would want a package that contains both the ventilation and the comfort (and heated). As for the active seats, I'm not completely sold on their usefulness. This opinion is coming from having a car with the Active Ventilated Seat Package.

Ventilated Seats

When one lives in a warm climate such as Hawaii or even parts of S. Cal, the need for heated seats is highly unlikely.

I live in AZ and would never buy a car without heated seats. In the winter time here it can get mighty chilly at 6am when I leave the house and the heated seats make a world of difference.

Granted, 34 degrees isn't cold to many of the people here, but it is to me

I live in CA and heated seats are a nice addition. It does get chilly at night some times...

Yeah but it is a heating pad for when you have a sore back.

It's getting warm in Socal, when you first get in the car, the seat ventilation keeps your back & taint from getting swampy. I can imagine people who live in other parts of the country where humidity in the summer is oppressive, this option is amazing.

I would like to see most/all options available à la carte. Apparently BMW feels that US customers don't want choices, or perhaps it's just an evil marketing ploy to drive prices higher. When playing around on configurators for the UK and other markets it is amazing/depressing to see what BMW could offer here.
