front bumper has more blemishes than a teens face

Anyone experienced this? Bought my 2011 550 used last summer and recall the paint job was in near mint. Fast forward a year and there's a ton of tiny chips/nicks all over the front. What would cause this?

Ha! Same thing on my car, tons of rock chips all over the front bumper. My car is white and the bumper is black underneath the pain so its very obvious with all of these black dots on the front bumper. You get them from a car in front of you kicking up little stones, especially on the highway, and those stones hitting your bumper.

I have found dr. colorchip to be a good inexpensive solution to filling in rock chips.

I got few stone scuffs on my baby's pretty face . The windshield is soft as well. It has many little nicks, looks like a milky galaxy with so many little stars.

cheap trick to try and prevent that, tape off and prepare the front bumper like you would if you were going to be painting it. just make sure the front bumper is clean and spay the clear plasti dip over it. Sure it will need to be taken off and re done. but its a good trick to do before winter. And much cheaper then going to get a clear bra put on.

On my white f10 I only got one big rock chip, but the paint is still intact. So to me it's holding up very good.

the problem is modern paint it doesn't hold up against the elements like it once use to, due to going green.

the best bet is if you do decide to respray your bumper get it wrapped in Xpel Ultimate Paint Protection film to protect against rock chips.

if you have a new car do you and your car a favor and wrap it.

My bumper gets like that after two or so years so I take it off the car and repaint it.
