Having it on now for a month and I can say it is value for money! Comfort wise very quiet, handling wise I cannot say much but just refer overseas reports that is perform well in both dry and wet surface. Only a bit -ve comment (also from forum) is the tyre wall is a bit soft which means unstable (a bit) when you push them hard when cornering. Well, I think I seldom push it in that way especially mine is GT.

Price: 2xxx HKD @.
That's cheap. I ordered tires direct from the US and it's a lot cheaper than HK. I got Michelin PS2's for $3300/tire shipped. I think I saved at least $1K/tire. Just make sure that the tire you order is available in HK. If you bust a tire and they are not available in HK, you're screwed.

You got a good deal for PS2 man. Wondering what's the price for PSS shipped to HK? You ordered the tires with your wheels together in order to save shipping cost?

First I want to to thank you RC3 for your kind offer. I actually do not mind getting a used spring from you but the problem is that I read from other threads that H&R spring lowerred the car too much. I need to park at a outside parking in Kwun Tong when I'm at work which has sucky surfaces and I have high bumps in my home parking. So I guess my only choice is the ACS springs. I agreed what Mlai said about the boat-like feel, stock F10 drives like my parents 2002 7 series rather than a 3er. I hope ACS spring can improve that without sacrificing too much comfort.

Now to the tires and wow I didn't know 20" tires costs about 4k each (my 18" on my last car was about 2k). Mlai, I think the stock 17" rft produce quite alot of road noises, if 20" sport tires are even worse as you said, maybe I'll stick with 19". See, basically I'm not a racer, I want to carry my family comfortably and have a little more fun when driving alone, so I hope I can find a good balance between both. What do you guys think?

Lastly to the rims, do u guys think 19" f14 rims will look small on F10? Last night my wife found me reading the 3D Design website and saw their 5 spoke rim, and she loved it. Anyone got these on their F10? how much do these cost??

thanks again guys.
I don't think 20" tires would be much noisier than 19". But different tyres does make differences. I'm using 20" F14 rims with Michellin PSS tyres and KWV3 coilover. Not much nosier than stock. Doesn't compromise a lot on comfort at all. My wife didn't notice at all unless the road condition is extremely bad.

Hi all, just came back from 5Wheel and i got to say the service was amazing. Although i already told him at start that i was only browsing, the guy there was so kind to bring down a few wheels from shelves to have me weight them.

Anyways, he quoted me 6k/rim for F14 and ordering takes 2 months. All he has in stock now is matte black which i think it's too racer. I was planning to go for titanium which it looks good in the pictures on Forgestar website, but he suggested not to go for the titanium on my Sophisto grey car (dark grey car + grey wheels = not good). He said either go for textured gunmetal or hyper silver. So which color do you guys think is more suitable for my car to make it more classy?

As for the tires, I told him that I want something quite and comfortable. He recommanded 1) Nitto (invo) and 2) Bridgestone Re001. They have about the same price (around $10500/set). Are these better than the Michelin you guys talked about?

thanks alot.

I had F14 in matt gun metal on my sophisto grey. Even then is too dark. I would go for hyper silver instead.

Michelin pss will beat those hands down in handling and comfort. But will probably cost close to 16k

Agree with mlai. S. Gray and gunmetal may be too close. You can check out AsiaKid's car. Same combo. If you have black like me. gunmetal is alright. But I have the gloss gunmetal. Lighter under sunlight. Hyper silver will bring out the contrast. But most rims even OE are silver. So up to you. Difficult choice.

PSS is the best. If you don't mind a few more k just go for it. I regret I got the cheaper Advan Sport, very noisy and harsh. I would take PSS if I swap.

What about titanium? Is this color appears in between gunmetal and hyper silver?? The guy said titanium looks dark when in shade and lighter when under sunlight. That sounds nice.

Or you may want to try ordering the Signature Black. That's black windows and barrels but machined face

This is what my wheels look like now. Polished face, black barrels.

mlai's car isn't that low. For any springs you probably have at least 1 to 1.5 finger gap. Members here with coilovers has 0.5 finger gap and some have front lips. They don't have problem over bumps.

For Forgestar F14, do they offer brushed titanium anymore? I remember it's discontinued and so has the two tone mlai is talking about. You may double check, may be they do custom finish.

That's with ACS

As a comparison, this is what it used to look like with textured gunmetal F14:

So low with ACS? It looks even lower than the eibach pic
Check maybe they put a V12 in there by mistake

hi bros,

I am new member as well and really amazed when I see your stunning cars! Honestly, I preferred a relatively quiet and less bumpy car for my newborn! certainly not want too spend too much! 19"vs 20", ACS vs HR?

what color of rims will you suggest? mine is space gray.

Is Zillion located in Sanpokong or TKW(anhui street)? also which type of H&R spring are you referring to? Do you installed TPMS for those nonRFT?

Welcome. May be we should have a sticky thread on wheels and springs. Every newcomer asking the same question. This is like the x times I answer this question.

20" will be bumpier than 19" but looks much better. If you are not a frequent driver on harsh roads like the mainland, go for the 20"

ACS will sit higher than H&R and H&R cheaper. Only one type of H&R springs for 523/528/535.

Z just relocated to Sunpokong.

No TPMS for HK F10, only sensors but not at the wheels. No problem on swapping wheels.

That's ok bro. No need to apologize. I hope every one here could have good mods.

Just go through the threads in this asia section, you will find loads of info. And you can use the search function on the upper bar. Cheers and have fun with your F10.
