I have the old m-sport steering wheel 2011 f10 and its awesome hopefully this new one isn't cheap like your saying. I was also wondering I don't see the m-sport suspension listed. Are we still getting this option when we get an m-sport?

On page 17 of the LCI detailed PDF file:

Quote:
M Sport lowered suspension is also available as an option.
And on page 44 of the brochure the "M Sport fahrwerk" is listed as std on the M Sport package (excl xDrive and Hybrid).

Not sure if it's std in the US, but it's std in Europe.

I think that's Mocha Brown. Can't tell where the B & O speakers are.

Anyone knows if air suspension on GT is in all 4 corners or just in the rear?
Any BMWs with 4 airs at all?

The U.S. M sport got a new passive suspension in 2013 which is already lowered. Yes, the new M Sport steering wheel is coming to the U.S. You can see it in the 2014 X5 M Sport.

They're no doubt trying to get 2014 Dealer inventory produced and shipped and 2013 inventory sold. You can order a 2014 though. I ordered mine on 6/10 and it's currently in production.

Are you sure about that? I was told that production on the 2014 models do not start until July and that 2013 productions end in June. I just ordered my 2014 535i and I am currently awaiting a production number.

Yep. Per the status line, production on my 2014 finished today.

I asked my dealer to sign me up for the Performance Center Delivery in South Carolina and I pasted the response from the BMW Performance Center Delivery Team back to my dealer below. It’s a little hard to read but looks like things are on hold until the EPA and CARB Certifications are issued by the government. My 550i was completed today (6/29) and now I have no idea when it will be able to be released.

BMW Performance Center Delivery
The Ultimate Delivery Experience™

Dear ,

Thank you for submitting a Performance Center Delivery reservation for David Thurmond. Unfortunately, this production number is a new model or new model year and we cannot offer a delivery date at this time. EPA and CARB Certifications are issued by the government and must be obtained for every model every year, regardless of any change (or not) in the production of the vehicle. The vehicle will remain at the VDC/VPC until approvals are all holds have been removed. The vehicle will not ship to The BMW Performance Center or your BMW Retail Center.

Please inform your client that we will contact you with a delivery date as soon as all EPA and CARB Certifications have been received by BMWNA and the Monroney/EPA and Release holds have been removed. Should the client wish to cancel you will need to submit a cancellation form which can be found on CENTERNET.

Please be aware, BMW Manufacturing will not offer public tours effective April 29, 2013. We expect public tours to resume early summer 2014. A bulletin announcing details about the re-introduction of tours will be released when timeframes are known. If your customer attends on a date when the factory tour is not available, they will receive a certificate at delivery allowing them to schedule a factory tour at a later date, once the public tours resume.

Thank you for your patience!

Ours are the first batch of 2014's off the assembly line so I'm anticipating EPA delays. It will take a few weeks for the cars to get to the U.S. anyway. It takes three days for the cars to get from the Dingolfing plant to the port in Bremerhaven by rail, then they sit waiting for a ship, then another 2 weeks to the East Coast. Mine is a West Coast delivery, so that's another 10 days to get through the Panama Canal and up to California. Im guessing mine will be on the ship departing Bremerhaven on 7/15 arriving at the Port Hueneme VPC in Cali on 8/10. Hopefully the certification will be done by the time mine arrives so it won't sit for too long at the VPC.
Let the waiting begin

I track the status via the production order number. The status is a day or so behind reality, but roughly speaking my car went through the body shop on Tuesday, Paint shop on Wednesday, final assembly and testing Thursday to Saturday.

SonicEndeavor - I asked my dealer his thoughts on the EPA approval delay and he said it's taken up to 45 days before (worse case) but thought the process had been improved lately and didn't expect it to take nearly that long. So, if it just takes maybe 20 extra days for EPA approval, you would be looking at late August. I'm expecting 10 days earlier than you for my east coast delivery.

Gonzoballz - Due to your production date, I would think mid to late September.

Please continue to keep me posted on what you find out. Especially you SonicEndeavor as our cars might be side by side right now in Dingolfing.

It all depends on when/if the EPA gets a car to test. They only test about 15% of new models and take the manufacturers word for the remainder. So for example if there are 100 new/redesgned models in 2014 they will only test 15 of those. Of course they only test one representative car, not every car that comes off the assembly line. The 550 may undergo testing this year because of the horsepower increase, vs. the 535i or 528i which have the same engine, or not
Here's the link to the ship schedules (Bremerhaven is the port of departure):

http://sagaweb.2wglobal.com/AppSched...pe=generatePDF

I'm hoping to get on the 7/6 ship, but that's not likely.

I'm a lil behind. I thought production does not start til July 2 for the 2014 LCI? I ordered my 535xi June 1 and I'm being told July 28 production. Does this makes sense? My SA is indicating late August / early Sept delivery.

July was the stated start date but they started about a week ago. The production date depends on what production slots BMW allocated to your dealer and how the dealer is using those allocation slots. My dealer had a week one LCI allocation slot and put me in that slot.
If you're in the U.S., the delivery date stated by your Dealer seems a bit optimistic for a 7/28 start of production - maybe mid September for East coast, 2 weeks longer for West Coast.
