Eibach vs AC Schnitzer springs

Eibach ones are £220 and the ACS ones are £400. Are the ACS ones worth the extra money?

I would go for ACS, I think they have tested it more to be exact right.

You should find out who makes ac ones. If I'm not mistaken it's eibach that makes ac springs. Like how bilstien makes m tech springs for bmw!

Yes....Eibach does mfg for ACS. However, note that the Eibach springs are not the same as the ACS springs. Eibach makes the springs to ACS standards. The drop is a bit less on the ACS springs and in my opinion, feels and looks perfect on my car. All the testing that ACS has done on their springs really shows IMO.

As a reference, the ACS springs cost $445 in the US. I'm in Canada but it was much cheaper to order from the US.

Oh tq for the info, glad u mentioned that the ac drops more, personally I don't like lowering too much, so I might stick with eibach (stupid car parks n roads don't permit a low car)

You misunderstand. ACS drops the car less than the Eibach.

ACS drops the car by 25mm (1") while the Eibach drops the car by 33mm (1.3").

I called Eibach US direct about 2 weeks ago and they said the same thing - under development. They are available in other markets since they have several manufacturing facilities.

Thanks, that was my next thing to do. I might have to go with ACS then. But the H&R's dont look to bad. The front will be a little low but it's not bad at all.

I have read that the h&r springs doesn't work well with the stock dampers at high speed bumps from other threads. Also I don't like H&R bc it's too low making it very inconvenient.

yup i made a mistake, thanks for correcting. i think in the end ACS is better for everyone in general. i mean for people who generally have to go places with their car and not want it scratching everything.

I think the reputation of ACS steered me to go with them. I was less interested in look and more interested in functionality. I love my ACS springs from 0 to 160!

I just received a Fedex email confirmation of pickup of my ACS springs from California. Can't wait to put them on!

I just moved from Eibach to ACS with my 550i. ACS does feel noticeably firmer than Eibach. But it has only been a day so only time will tell.....

It has been a couple of weeks since I put on the ACS springs and took off the Eibachs. Tonight, I finally took my 550i out for a proper test drive at a curvy mountain road (for the Hong Kong members, the notorious TMS)

Many consecutive turns and tight near-hairpins. I had my F10 in SPORT mode all the time. All I can say is WOW The car is a real sport sedan! Very planted even at speed in excess of 80km/h for most turns!

I had my friend drive it back down and he cannot believe the F10 handles that well! Very confident at every corner like it is on rails! Verdict is that it is definitely not a 3, but the F10 handles like it is somewhat smaller than it looks!

But then, I do have DHP and IAS and I have PSS on. So your mileague may vary. But all in all, way better than the Eibach before!

So there you go! Put on ACS and PSS! The F10 handles great with those!

Do you have pics of your car with the ACS lowering?
