As I can remember, the car drove fine (stiff suspension but not rough) but it definitely didn't feel like a new 528. We bought it at 36K miles so that's understandable, plus technology has changed somewhat. It's sort of like comparing apples to oranges with a new car. I was hoping to get some insight from a '12-'13 base model owner that has upgraded to 20" wheels. Although coil-overs would be a nice upgrade, since it's my wife's daily commuter, I'm not sure I want to spend a few thousand on it. We bought it as a beater for her but I then had the urge to make it look nice with the wheels. It's becoming more of a headache than its worth.
I find the base suspension pretty soft on the f10, so I'm surprised to see you calling it stiff. And coilovers will be former than any OEM suspension.

I can answer this pretty good since I just took off my 20s and put back on the stocks.

I would say that the ride in the 20s was just as good if not better than the run flat stocks. I had on 20in Avant Garde M368s with Hankook Evos.

Besides swapping back to stocks or running an aspect ratio higher (F01 size), do you think keeping the fronts the same 245/35 and swapping out the rear 265/35 will help in comfort? Rear size works out to be .8" larger OD.

Did you lose comfort with eibach springs?

This.

You could put wagon wheels on these cars and they'd still ride like a boat.

What size tires?

I'm running AS3+ too, with 255/35/20 front, 285/30/20 rear IIRC. Compared to stock 351M with RFT's, I think the butt feel is smoother, the car feels significantly more planted in the corners at speed... but I definitely feel the bumps in the road a tad more (expected given 20" vs 19").

The part I don't get is why the rolling sound got a bit louder. I thought RFTs were supposed to be very loud in comparison?

Same size as yours. Since the tires are wider than OEM more contact to road creates more noise? I keep front 37psi, rear 39psi so I feel less small bums in road.
