I've never experienced this before on my e90 with a tune and backend flash. On the F10 with my previous tune and my current one I have disappearing coolant. Not much, only a few ounces, but still enough to make it low in the reservoir. Wonder exactly how its evaporating??
Anyhow, went to put some water wetter in and the reservoir took the whole 12oz bottle. Has anyone experienced coolant disappearing faster than "normal" with tunes? flash or piggyback?

I doubt it has anything to do with the tune, these engines can take a metric ton of boost before you'd need to be worried about that.
It is probably weeping somewhere and slowly escaping. I am having some spark blowout on the new MP stg1 tune though. Curious what plugs you're running? I just tossed out the 18k stock plugs for new stock plugs gapped to .022 per Alex's advise, and it reduced the blow out by 50-60% but I'm still getting some breakup under load from 3-4500 or so when the turbo is kicking ass. It isn't consistent though, it doesn't do it -constantly- now. I took the wife for a 135mph run in Mexico last night, and it pulled up through 6th smooth until I had to back off for a bend in the road. |

Anyhow, I gap down my plugs to that spec too. Do you have data showing spark blow out?

Nah, no data but that is what is going on no doubt.
It feels like hitting a rpm limiter when it does it bad, but only a few bursts for a couple seconds then it pulls through it. It was pretty bad at times with the original plugs, and as said with the new tighter gapped ones it much less prone to it. |
