That looks slick. Mind me asking where you ordered the badges from?

Cheers.

Thanks! I was looking for a summer set because I have Style 332 w/winter tires. However, my local dealer had the 408's with the Sottozeros for $850 and couldn't pass them up. Figured I'd run the Sotto's until I need new tires and then get summer tires.

Badge is from Ebay, but it comes in standard chrome. I did the red/black paint scheme myself.

Debadged is the way to go.. I can't understand why some guys even have or leave the dealer badges on their car as well.

I've always had the mindset of debadged once modded, badged when stock.

That would be great idea. Plus you don't have to go through the hassle of removing the badge either. Less noticeable but yet still orginal

i say plasti-dip it.

Here you can order the car without the badge, which I did.

^^ This 100%....

My LR3 has a severe issue with this because the letters are so damn chunky..... Although its not a "city" pretty boy, I like black cars to look black when they are clean!

I have always debadged cars... in Europe its popular where one hand, it "hides" the lower trim cars for people wanting to look more baller and "hides" higher trim cars so that they don't get stolen as easily. My buddy who lived in Krakow had a serious issue with cars getting stolen back in the day.

LIke the clean look. Thinking black badge on jet black might be kind of low key. Maybe I have not done this because I want to get the spacing proper putting on new badge.
Not a fan of vanity plates and the F10 thing is cool, but not for me.
Im not even one to put a spoiler on my 5.
That's just me. I prefer a subtle stock look and any mods, if any be understated.
And yes, totally fine with 528i debadging!!!!

there's a better alternative to plasti-dip. on the Lexus board, a guy came up with a fantastic way to reproduce the 'black pearl' emblems that lexus uses on some of their models.

use this...

the color code is PS-31, Smoke spray paint. it can be found at most hobby shops. spray a couple of LIGHT coats on the emblems. LIGHT because you still want the chrome to shine thru. in the end, it goes from this...

to this...

if you look on my avi...thats what i did for the emblems on my old ISF. total cost....about $5
