I bought this new-to-me 2016 535d in November last year with 85k kms (53k miles). It's a Canadian 535d, so the same as the 530d elsewhere in the world.
The salesman I bought it from told me it originally stickered at CDN $95,000. I'm skeptical that's true since on other matters he was so full of it his eyes were brown... anyway, I'd like to see what the F10 experts think this car has for options/packages. I'll add some pictures so you can see better. In a nutshell: '16 535d XDrive M-Sport, carbon black exterior, oyster(?) interior, 20" 434m wheels. Not so obvious in pictures are soft close doors, alcantara headliner, stitched leather dash, HUD, KAFAS (CAFAS?) camera, speed limit info on dash. I added the euro headlight switch (rear fogs) and the "Gentleman" passenger seat control. The things I know for sure it doesn't have are: night vision, 4-zone climate control, massaging seats, B&O stereo, rear sunshades, EDC (Electronic Damper Control) and active sway bars. Did I miss anything? I believe base price for the '16 F10 535i was CDN $69,900 and USD $59,900 or thereabouts, but I'm not sure where I got those prices from - I could be wrong. So I think whatever the price would have been in the US it would be about $10k more in Canada. Looking forward to your help! |

The car seems to be really well optioned. Cant comment on the price but yes it has I would say 80% of options that a F10 could have. Some notable options I noticed on your car are the Ceramic controls, Active Cruise control (very rare), ventilated seats,6WB dash...in addition to what you already mentioned. Btw the headlight switch that you installed is the wrong one...its from a car with Halogen headlights (as it has 2 dials). The proper LED headlight switch has only 1 dial as its auto levelling.
How much did you purchase the car for? |

Thanks for the comments!
I haggled the seller down quite a bit as the car needed brakes, had one tire that likely wouldn't pass inspection, and has a mild bend in at least one wheel. $29,000 including 5% PST, so effectively $27,619 and I only owed the 8% GST when buying plates. I was pretty happy at that price, and with new winter tires it passed inspection without issue. There were two similar 335d's for sale locally (Ottawa) that had pretty standard options, one silver and one black. This one was in Montreal so it was a bit of effort to buy it, but I got a nicely equipped car in the end. I did a bunch of reading and took a chance on the headlight switch. You're right, it's from an earlier car and the headlight leveling dial does nothing. The rest of the controls work perfectly, including the rear fog switch which is all I cared about. The proper LCI version of the switch was selling for well over $100 + shipping, and this one I got from Europe for about $50 with shipping. Score! |

I don't remember the name from the top of my head, but if you Google it there is a company that will recreate your original window sticker, including the price, based on VIN. I think they charge $15 or$20 for that.

With the VIN decode you have...it gives you all of your option codes...take that info and go through the 2015 5 series pricing guide PDF...and this should give you pretty much what you're looking for in regard to your window MSRP.

https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/canad...es?language=en Based on that, and guessing a little on the packages, I get the following using the current fees from BMW Canada for a 2021 5-Series: 2016 BMW 535 D xDrive Price Breakdown Notes Canada Base Price $68,500.00 Freight and PDI $2,480.00 Retailer Administration Fee $595.00 Air Conditioning Tax $100.00 Tire Tax $16.00 Motor Vehicle Industry Fee $10.00 Security Registration Fee $53.73 416 Carbon Black Metallic $550.00 Req. ZAM, 415 LZET Ivory White on Black Nappa$1,500.00 Incl. ZBE ZAL Premium Package Enhanced$5,500.00 ZAM M Sport Package $2,700.00 ZBD Driver Assistance Package $2,400.00 5AT Driver Assistant Plus $1,900.00 ZBE Enhanced Interior Package $2,900.00 453 Ventilated Seats $900.00 Req. 456 456 Comfort Seats $1,950.00 Req. ZBB 502 Headlight Washers $300.00 6NS Smartphone Connectivity $600.00 Z6W 20" M Lt Ally Wheel $3,400.00 Total $96,354.73 So the original price was the ONLY thing that salesman was honest about, LOL. Man, do the options ever add up quick on these cars! Interesting that the interior is called Ivory White... I always thought it was called Oyster? And I'm not sure about Driver Assistant Plus; I didn't see a separate option for adaptive cruise control and speed limit info on the dash so I figured that might be it? Googling suggests that, but not conclusively. |

Oyster interior is a Dakota leather option. Your car has Nappa leather...thus the ivory white.
in regard to adaptive cruise control...the Driver Assistance Pkg can be optioned multiple ways....you have the 5AS and/or the 5AT option. If you have the 5AT option code listed...then that option includes active cruise control: Driver Assistance Plus: (includes)
*Note: Active Driving Assistant includes Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Pedestrian Warning, and City Collision Mitigation.
