+1 if you have not jack up a car before, best pay a few 100 and let the pro do the hard work.
for me DIY is a hobby and love to mod and fix things my self.
Back in UK I did all the car fixing my self so it is fun.

Used to jack cars up and rotate wheels myself too all the time. But that was dog age. may be 20+ years ago. Never did any jack up in HK.

Really doubt those jacks available in the uk are made anywhere other than chiina. A majority of oem products are also made in china so I wouldn't be too worried about taoboa. That said, still abide by the principle: if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Hey guys,
Safety is very important.. I don't even want to go underneath the car if I don'thave to, as Mlai says, for most ppl its a much better idea to let the shop do it, easy convenient and safe. But as Pingu and Jacky says, if you want to DIY, you 'have' to do this .. so just be extra safe and only do it if you know what you are doing, use 3triple back up and assume the thing will fail rather than not.
That said, i see 3 size hydraulic jacks .. 160rmb, 250rmb and the 350rmb 'export' () version. probably related to failure rate, since if you use a 10tonne jack on a 1 tonne lift, the chances of failure are much much lower than if use 1-2 tonne for the same job. But the weights are 6,8,11.5kg - the largest one too heavy to lug down to parking lot, maybe need a chair to push it
The electric one is much lighter 3kg.. but no idea how it works, if electricity cuts how does it lock etc.

I don't even see the option for 'Visa'/'Mastercard' ...you need the verification after selecting this option right? If so, I will abandon trying to get this option up, and try a china credit card /convenient store cash.
Hope i can get it to work tonight ..

No interest toying with my car in a common car park. I don't live in a house and spaces are quite tight. I remember I used to spend hours in my garage back in the states. If I do the same right now, people will think I am a freak. "What's the dude doing with his car again? Obsessed with his car?

My situation now .. but i never jack a car before .. my space a little better.. but it is HOT. It was funny rolling the wheels in the lift up and down .. then place them in the car seats (+garbage bags cover) like they were children or pets

Agreed, if you do not have garage, better let the shop do it. Or if this is your hobby, (like me, I like to touch my car as well, but only if have time) then should go to the car/ body shop that you always go and share their place and tools, do it your own

That's how I did sometimes. Look like a bit weird in HK, if always fixing car at public carpark

That's not too bad. When I moved in to my apartment and ask the guards where the management office is, they asked if I am applyiing for a job as security guard

And the worst is, couple years ago, I dropped of my C55 for a valent at an upscale Chinese restaurant and waited outside for my friend to arrive. And then, this dude driving a Lexus with a girl stopped at the curb, got out, and trying to hand me his keys to valet park for him

one-week report

One week is up after the Eibach spring install! And Eibach feels a tad softer than the first couple of days and now I have no complaint on the harshness of the ride. As comfortable as before, without the boat ride feeling.

I think the Eibachs are not as stiff as H&R, maybe a bit closer to ACS instead.

And the handling feels just right. Steering feel and feedback has improved. The car has dropped slightly more than before (maybe another 5mm, front and rear) but not quite slammed. Probably can't even notice it in pictures. I had to do my "fingers test" to confirm that the car is indeed very teenly bit lower than the first couple of days.

All-in-all, I recommend for looks and comfort, Eibach is very good for the price

My car has DHP so probably handles slightly better than ones without. But for non-DHP F10s, some may still find Eibach slightly too soft at cornering without other additional mods (shocks and anti-roll bars). So for non-DHP equipped F10s, maybe ACS/H&R (or the ultra expensive RD) are better fits for spirited driving styles.

Tyre and pressure specs on my F10:
Front: PZero 245/35R20 (Pressure 36Psi)
Rear: PZero 285/30R20 (Pressure 36Psi)

Cool mlai. You have the right side lower than left side problem?

I checked my fender/wheel gap yesterday. I think my H&R dropped a bit more. Right side front about 1.5 finger, Right side rear 1 and 3/4 finger. Left side sitting a touch higher. I had almost full tank of gas so right side may be even lower for the reason.

That's quite high pressure that you have there. I have 32psi front and rear (hot).

Haven't checked left and right differences. As for tyre pressure, for 20" OEM spec wheels, manual actually states 35/36 for tyre pressures.....

You do remember that when you go bigger wheels, you need higher pressure, right?

The manual went as far as saying for full speed full load, you need to go up to 41/47 for pressure!

No. They did 38/38. And I have the distinct feeling that they screwed up balancing at the least the rear wheels twice! I feel vibration in the seat after both times at speed over and around 110km/h. And after WK rebalanced the wheels, no vibration until around 140km/h
