I would love to get my hands on this to test. Run some piping from the front up to the filters to splash some cold air from the front like Dinan...

Yo, Badblack... how much for a set of your scoops? I got a guy that works at a custom shop who said he would fabricate me a set of air filters... want to use your scoops to test...

Thanks man, let me know!

The system comes with 2X pipes, 2x filters and clamps, and heat shields for both sides. The picture shown is for a 2012 BMW 750XI.

Well, I can promise you it wasn't due to a lack of effort on our end. I've got a few more ideas to bounce off you, but I need to get off night shift so I can work on the car a little.

I'm still convinced I've got a vacuum leak, as I think it's lost power. Starting with the PCV on the driver's side, then probably going to replace the driver's side tube down to the intake manifold.

I saw on another post you're getting the meth setup going again, can't wait to see how it works when properly wired.

Yeah, I guess that was too much of a stretch for the one to the intake manifold. The one that I cut should be to my house this afternoon. I'll do a quick swap out to see if that fixes what I think is low end torque missing.

If that doesn't fix it, I may go for a few dyno pulls to see how bad it is. I never got a good torque number before, but I can use the base BMS torque number plus my previous HP number to see if I'm close.

I'm half tempted to pick up stage 2, but I'm not sure I can justify the money if I'm going to keep trying to make a functioning intake. Plus I swore I wouldn't do any more mods if the intake didn't work...I hope she knows I was kidding.

You have any idea how to get the connection off the intake manifold? Or if you can access the intake manifold from under the car?

I tried for what seemed like two hours to get it off (it has one of the compressible vacuum fittings), as I think that is the real culprit. When I stretched that line to get the PCV connected I'm almost positive I did something to damage it. I feel like I'm getting lag from idle to boost, then it just jerks back to power, my guess is a vacuum leak at idle is sucking in unmetered air, then the problem goes away under boost.

That is a really tight fit between the side of the engine and the fender well, and I didn't see any sort of cover to come in behind the wheel. I'm guessing you need it to be on a lift so you can pull the cover off the bottom and reach up to get it. I would sure hate to pay the dealer $100 to swap out a vacuum line, so I need to figure out how to do it.

Yes this is same as MSR but for 550 we have a lot less space to play with.
