Navigation - ridiculous estimated arrival times

Chaps,

This is an odd one. The car is a 2013 LCI with Pro Nav. It wildly over-estimates journey times often by several hours. By contrast my LCI with Pro Nav is absolutely spot on.

Both cars have exactly the same navigation system with exactly the same map version - but if I plot, say, a 120 mile Motorway route, my car will correctly estimate say a 110 minute journey time yet the other car will say something stupid like 180 minutes - despite the same route being plotted.

Any ideas? I'm loath to suggest it gets taken to the dealer despite the fact its under warranty as typically these sorts of things get complicated fast..

Has anyone else experienced this? It's making the system very frustrating and also makes RTTI useless as its forever suggesting bizarre diversions as a result of inflated journey times.

Tried it with RTTI on and RTTI off, no difference.

Could be missing a software update. Go to 'settings' then scroll down to 'softwate', select this and you'll see which version you have for the nav. If the cars show different versions that's probably the answer but it'll have to to the dealer for an update.

Those software are for BT only, it doesn't help at all. You should try to update firmware of head unit.

What has it got to do with BT?

Are you saying that BMW relies on BT for their updates?
