Update iDrive F10 2011

Hello everyone,

I've seen a few places on the Web which state it's really easy to update the version of iDrive (http://www.autoevolution.com/news/di...ion-54817.html)

Is it really that easy? Will I lose any codings which have been done on the car?

Thank you

Thanks pal

I've already updated it. Wasn't time consuming at all.

Will be doing the map update later on. That will be interesting.

This is for update phones and other Bluetooth devices only. Proper CIC or NBT firmware update takes from 0,5h to 1,5h on my bench setup. Many bmw dealers brick those units during flashing, hence they not happy to do it.

Is it worth updating the firmware? Will it reset any codings done?

my personal view is to leave as is unless you are having issues. i dont recall reading about anyone on these forums that has upgraded firmware.
