Service record

I can't find how to access the service information now stored in the vehicle's computer - can any body point me in the right direction?

Easiest way is to take it to a dealer, hand them the key and ask for a print out...should be free.

Do you mean the future CBS items listing?

If so, it is under... Vehicle Info... Vehicle status ... Service required... scroll through the list.

Thanks, but I meant the service record, which is no longer entered and stamped in a service booklet but stored instead in the car's computer. I can't believe that the owner is not able to consult this information, eg, to demonstrate to a potential buyer when selling the car.

I think the reason for this is the fact that anyone with a bit of knowledge and the right software can code these cars, therefore theoretically they could code the service history. Keeping the records on BMW's systems means it's more secure, but as mentioned you just need to contact them for a printout or ask for one each time you have a service so that it's always to hand

My service record is listed on the CBS page of idrive at the top. It drills down to service items, dealership, mileage and date.

Interesting, mine doesn't show this but it's pre-lci

Wonder if this can be forged via coding...
