picked it up yesterday & mixed story so far....

The car looks great

Good:

Sat Nav & new controller are great
HUD is fantastic
Love the seat ventilation
Like the panoramic roof
Adaptive air con great
Fit & finish superb

Not so good:

There is a fault with the new LED adaptive lights -> going back to BMW today
Not that impressed with comfort seats so far - lack adjustability & you sit high up & so far not that comfortable

I have the adaptive drive on -> not sure of its benefits yet -> I can adjust teh sport setting to do suspension or gear box or both. Ride in standard mode on 18" wheels is fine, not harsh at all & certainly better than standard M Sport sports suspension. Not had chance to try sports chassis yet really.

Am getting an M5 whilst they sort out the lights & then will be able to drive more in the 530d to see what it is like!

Can you write a bit more about the fault with the Adaptive LED lights?

Just says fault warning for rt adaptive headlight & then vertical fault. When indicate rt it is initially normal speed & then flashes at double speed as a warning. I think the rt 'eyebrow' leds aren't working.

Back with BMW now & they haven't called with any progress?

Annoying as played with the car twice prior to pickup & all worked well?

Shall see what BM have to say & try the M5 tonight :-)

If my local dealer lent me an M5 I would hope they took as long as possible to fix my car

Anyone else have comfort seats. Didn't try before ordering & went for due to wanting ventilation. I seem to sit higher up in them thn normal seats which I don't like & thus far haven't been that comfortable....anyone else any comments?

Seats in the M5 much lower & more comfortable...

I tried them and they are clearly much worse than pre lci cars. They lack adjustability in lot of areas where the sports seats excels.
