Getting Dad a 535i...help me out.

Dad needs to buy a 535 to rack miles on. He currently has a leased X5D, and an E550.

I'm thinking Dark Graphite/Cinnamon/Anthracite
Premium
Premium 2
Convenience
Sport w/auto and paddles
Nav

Are the multicontour seats worth getting active seats package in addition to sport? we have it on the X5 but they aren't heated/cooled/massage.

How's the HUD?

Multi contour seats are excellent and if you do much night driving, so are the bi-xenon adaptive headlights.

IMHO active seats are a waste of money but the multi-contoured are well worth it.

HUD is cool but you can't see it with polarized glasses and not worth the coin unless you do a lot of track driving or deliver pizzas (and need the nav instructions often). I'm guessing that Dad does not work for Dominos?

No, but he does love his navi, and his polarized glasses :/

And what's the general opinion on M sport vs sport, any gains with M sport that would be a pain to add after production?

Suggest you read the differences between Sport and M Sport packages.

1. M Sport includes DHP package
2. Fitting the body kit afterward would be painful and likely a lot more expensive than if you had purchased it through the option.

Why not give a bottle of Whiskey. A gave my Dad a Chivas and he was very happy.

It's the thoughts that counts...

msport deletes the dark wood trim. if he likes elegant, than sport is probably the better choice with rims, bumpers ect.

Msport looks nice, and the rear bumper is growing on me.

Multicontour seats (comfort seats in UK) are the best seats i have ever sat in and would recommend them above everthing else. kep you sat right with your head very well supported. MUST HAVE!!!

Rumor has it that a diesel F10 will be arriving here later this year.If true it would be ideal for high mileage (persumably highway miles) use.You dad certainly knows that having owned an X5D.If the rumor proves to be false I can suggest that he check out the E350 Bluetec for the same reason.I've driven one and it's quite impressive, compared, certainly,to *my* "d"...which I love dearly but find a bit cramped and un-luxurious.
