Not the most flattering review, but probably worth the read for those interested in purchasing the car: http://www.automobilemag.com:80/revi...smo/index.html

BMW is losing touch with the prices. I priced out an X5 the other day... 70K! The base price seems sort of OK but then you are adding 20K in "options" for things that should be included in a luxury vehicle.
Drove a VW Touareg V6 TDI last week. Really awesome drive, gorgeous interior, 25mpg.... 42K out the door. I liked it better than the X5 and it is 25 THOUSAND dollars cheaper. |

If you have a need for a large, luxurious, comfortable, fast "Car" the GT doesnt have any peers. I have owned many many BMW's over the years (3-e36's, 1-e39, 1-e46, 1-e53, 1-r53(mini) and this is my favorite so far. I don't expect it to be as agile as an M3, or as light as a 1 series. The 550 GT holds its own for what it is.
