I really hope that if someone can take it out and take a pic to show us how it looks. I wonder if BMW make their own special LEDs bulbs for the 2011 3 and 5 series Angel Eye.
And will it work on our 2011 7 series.

Believe it or not. I just don't understand why our 2011 7 series comes with Yellow Angel Eye and the others don't. Most of the new 7 series owners all complaining about that lol.

But please if anyone who has the 2011 model 3 or 5 series with the stock white bright LEDs Angel Light. And willing to provide us more information on the LED bulb , that will be awesome. Cause i really don't know if that is the whole head light design or we can purchase the 5 series LED bulb individually.

Thanks
CED
I'm also interested to know if one can fit a "replacement bulb" in a F10 halogen headlight unit to get the bright angel eyes... .

It is not a "bulb" design.
The whole assembly is of a different design. Each ring is illuminated by a few LEDs at the bottom of the ring. So no, it is not possible to retrofit original BMW LEDs to old angel eyes. There are 3rd party solutions, but none of them look like the original F10 LED angel eyes.

You can see the LED assemblies at the bottom of each ring.

Hi Samanoj77,
I think perhaps looking at this picture its some form of US running light?

Thanks Paul. Yes, I believe its part of the DRL with the xenon setup. There are no orange LEDs in that part of the headlight with the halogen setup.

Is it possible to replace the LED's that light up the coronas in the F10 Halogen headlight with the Xenon headlamp's LEDs in order to make the F10 halogen headlamp coronas as bright as the F10 xenon headlamp?

Hope I am not confusing anybody. I would really like to know this.

Thanks.

[QUOTE=nosnoop;8004094]That's totally different. A8 uses LED for HEADLIGHTS! No more Xenon.

Audi has always been pioneer in the use of LED; it was the first manufacturer to use LED for daytime running lights, and now headlights.QUOTE]

Your are incorrect. The first production car/suv was the cadillac escalade platinum.

Actually, Audi was indeed the first with its R8 in 2007:

Lexus followed with LS600h, though LEDs were used for low beam only.

Cadillac Escalade Platinum did not come up with its Hella LEDs headlight until 2008.

I stand corrected. I did not know about the Lexus. R8 may not count, they usually have to meet a production number. Not sure how many and if they met it.

It lights up only when you select the "Welcome Lights" mode and your light switch selector is either on "Auto" or "Main" indicator....mine does..
This is true except that I believe it is also part of the cornering light function.

My E92 had the best headlights I'd ever experienced until I got the F10. They are phenomenal!

I noticed that 1 side of the Angel Eyes on my 535i mSport is slightly different color than the other side. Is that normal?

Probably LCI F10 will have LED headlights, that will be good thing to retrofit!
