Door Sill Finishers

Just found out that the letter "M" on BMW marked Door Sill is missing on the passenger door. Little disappointed to see that things are falling off so easily from a car of this price

So I checked the other door sills and to make me surprised they all came off so easily. I could remove all the letters in 2 front doors and all silver strips to make me more worried...

Took all of them off and put some UHU to put them back in place firmly. But still the "M" is blank on the passenger door sill.

Checked the price on the BMW UK website and it is about £146.60, not sure if that is for all 4 or just one.

But not sure if I can go back to BMW and demand a set Free of charge...

Any advise and has anyone got a similar experience?

All of mine fell off within five weeks. I think it looks better that way. Replacement would likely be covered under the warranty in the US.

No, mine is 520D so, there is no Ambient Lights, which I believe you will get the Sills backlit only with that option, which comes as standard on all other trims.

Been to the dealer today to find out these are covered with the warranty... booked for next week to replace all 4 of them.

Pretty sad for a car with this pricetag.....may be they're using chinese made glue from a dollar store.

Wait...what? Is this for real? I'm plunking down $70k on a 550 m-sport and I have to worry about my M letter falling/peeling off on the door sills. That is embarrassing.

Replaced under warranty !

Just checked mine and the M is missing too! Hop the dealer will replace it under warranty.

Looks like a growing issue... for me it's the glue to be blamed...
