in-Car Internet not working.
It seems I cannot get my phones to work with my 2011 F10 to have Internet Access. I have "Internet" listed in my available services in iDrive.
I tried: iPhone 4, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, BlackBerry Bold 9900, and most recently Nokia C5-00 (recommended on BMW.com/bluetooth)! Am I missing any settings? Appreciate your help. |

Internet??? Confused
So I have a brand new 535 with pretty much all the options - I have the BMW APPS and have used the BMW connected app for Web Radio/facebook et - Is there supposed to be an option to browse the internet and tether to my iphone? I'm in the U.S. - If I try to use the "Connected" options - I'm told I do not subscribe to the BMW Assist package that provides these options - Can I somehow tether my Iphone?
So confused |

I get a variety of messages: one of them is "Internet not supported in this country", another is "Try again later" and the third is "Service not Active", while it is listed as a service of course in the "BMW Services" menu!

I assume you didn't buy the car new, did you check with a BMW dealer / local marketing brochures if Internet (option 615) in your car IS available in Egypt for BMW? Internet browsing even when using your tethered mobile phone is still going via a BMW proxy. While the Connected Apps like pandora facebook etc go direct from your phone.. |

The car was probabbly intented for Austria, Germany or UK, where BMW has internet functioning and it's not working in any other country.
It would be nice if we could select if we want to surf via BMW or our own tethered phones but it seems it's not an option. If you have BMW internet you cannot connect through your phone anymore. |

You have to pay for Concierge service for that function to work
without a phone thats a hot spot you need to pay the $199/mo to get the connected drive to work via your idrive. I already called and thats the deal. Once activated the google functionality works as does everything else
