I got this info from Kline themselves. The ship's AIS is not working on any of the major tracking sites (marinetraffic.com, fleetmon.com, etc..)
Thanks for confirming this great news! Interestingly, ShippingExplorer (paid web site but good cheap iPhone App) correctly registered the movement into Brunswick and on to Charleston.

Can't wait to see my car. Congrats on the M3 (probably my ideal car, if I had fewer children).

Hmm, I was leaning toward's the ceramic tint, but I am worried about it being less dark.

Anyone know where the VDC is? What do you think the ETA is to Miami?

VDC is right there at the port... I am not sure how long it takes to get thru VPC, but I would assume it is determined by the volume of car there already, any damage that might have been done to the vehicles, or any accessories that they are putting on.

I'm no expert, but to clarify I think you can get ceramic darker, as well, but it's possible to get excellent heat reduction without having to go dark (not an issue for you but desirable for me).

I'm going to ask my CA tomorrow about timing and will let you know what I find.

Just spoke with my CA and he said he expects my car at the dealership on Monday 9/24. He said taking delivery on 9/25 as planned would be no problem!

Good luck!!! Do post about what you decide to do regarding tint. I might just go with a lighter dealer tint due to cost.

I feel like I know you guys, so please post pictures of your cars when you get them.

Have you guys left the VDC yet?? I called my CA today, and she said I was still at the VDC, and she didn't know when the car was being trucked to the dealer. I would assume that if there are no problems with damage to my vehicle, I should see it next week. BTW, my CA didn't know that if there is damage done to the cars during the boat trip, that the VDC fixes it. She thought that it was the dealers responsibility. I am not giving her flack, one because she is cute, and two she is new.

I called my CA today as well. He did not know if my car was remaining at the VDC or not (shouldn't he know that?). Is there a way I can find out?

You can call the VDC directly ... at 912-267-8500, but they aren't going to give you any info till Monday. Just give them you VIN.

My CA told me the next call I'd receive was when the car arrived, so I'm leaving him alone. LOL about your CA. I'm glad I didn't have a cute female CA, as negotiation would have been more difficult.

My CA told me that the Brunswick VDC was having computer issues - so the status has not been updated since Friday. The cars could be on there way to the dealers now, or the cars could be sitting at the VDC. Hopefully, we will find out tomorrow.

Thanks for the update. Hoping tomorrow will be the day they arrive as I've already planned to take Tuesday off to pick the car up and hoping to have OptiCoat applied when new.

Oh no! I just callled the VDC. They said that there was a "dent in the left front rim, and that they have to replace it. It might take 6-7 days to get the rim."

How often does this happen? What does this mean? And should I refuse delivery?

Accessories are still being installed (Carbon Fiber Spoiler and Lip).. It probably hasn't changed status because of the computer issues. Might be on truck already?? We should start a support group, cause we are all in need of some good psycho-therapy.

How did you get thru to someone?? I was always transferred to voicemail. I wouldn't refuse delivery... if it is just a bent rim. You have wait all this time, let them try and fix it.

Oh no! So sorry. I also called this morning and they confirmed my car left there on Saturday and I'm still hoping for delivery tomorrow.

I agree with Dominion. Let them fix it (and maybe see if they'll throw in wheel insurance as well).

Oh - Just saw your posts after I started a thread on this issue (http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthre...0#post12731730)

DominionXX: when I called the VDC, I asked the operator to transfer me to "someone that was at their desk." That is how I spoke with someone.

ksqrd: What is wheel insurance? What does it cover and who is it through?

I never purchase these things (and don't plan to this time) but I've seen several threads debating the merits. Search 'BMW Tire and Wheel Protection' on the bmwusa website (Google, and click on the first non-sponsored link). The second link is a PDF mini-brochure. Who knows--maybe they'll throw it in or give it to you at a steep discount?!?
