That feeling when...
you get home and discover your wife has scraped one of your wheels. Just had them refinished a couple of months ago!

I sold my sister my old stanced G37, drove for about 2-3 years without a single scratch on the wheels, 1 month into her ownership she grinded the bejesus out of the driver side .... 3 months later the other side is looking the same .... women man
Thank god my girl knows better and she has wheels of her own but still makes me paranoid ...

That's why she drives her own car and mine is off limits!!! Unless I've been drinking, she can drive my car but I'm like pay attention to other cars and drive straight home no stopping anywhere and NO DRIVE THRU anything!!!

We normally drive our own cars but I was taking her Mercedes in for some warranty work so we swapped cars. But tbf she is a good driver and this is the first time in our 15 years together that she has scraped a wheel.
Just had to be mine... |

Not as bad as my wife. She took my front bumper off!!! Got the CF splitter caught on a curb when parking and decided to reverse off and pull the bumper off. Luckily the CF splitter remained attached and no damage. Just had to re attach bumper for £400!!

I have a 2011 with 0 dents or scratches (except the micro scratches).
My GF drives our 2014 Mazda 3S HB. That car is riddled with dents and scratches after 1 year. Her excuse is "other people did it", it's out of her control. It doesn't explain wheel scrapes on all 4 wheels. We live in the same place and park in the same lot lol. And likewise, I don't let her touch my car besides the passenger seat. |

Bought her a set of M5 replica wheels for her bimmer. A week later she scraped the rear passenger on a curb. Wife: "the curb is unusually high". Thank god they weren't super expensive but still, not cool. Last weekend, I got new rear tires put on and the tire shop scratched both of her rear wheels bad. They denied the whole thing so I'm forking out $120 tomorrow to get both fixed. After getting upset, I scraped my own (way more expensive) wheels on the same curb. Seems like I'm just throwing hard earned cash away these days with nothing to show for it.

Then you remind her of "the incident" for years to come every time she tries to lecture/criticise you from passenger seat. |

I always swap my wheels before letting the wife drive the car, or throw in a cheap reps wheels.

My wife did the same thing on her car. $800 for a new bumper cover and she did it again less than 6 months later.

I did say look accidents happen, but I just got them refinished baby. However I am seething inside and can't help reminding her of it at least a couple of times each evening. I haven't taken the car back off her and am driving around in a Mercedes C Class loaner that they gave me. Which by the way is a lovely car, didn't think that I would like it but I'm really enjoying it. Interior is nicer than a 3 Series and it doesn't feel as cramped. It's an SE and the ride and handing balance are great, forgot how good a luxury car can ride if you don't go for sports suspension and put 20" wheels on it! |

Every once in a while my girl would ask if she can drive when we go out in my car, I'm like the wheels are $550 each and the tires are $300. I'm going to need an $850 deposite for the wheels and tires plus another $1000 for my carbon fiber front lip and rear diffuser.
She gets all butt hurt and is like WTF! I tell her it's mine I paid for it and if it's gets damaged by you I'm stuck paying again, So give me a deposite and you can drive. She says I'm always super careful, the very next day(in her car)she ran over the curb at Costco and put a bubble on the sidewall of her right rear tire and scratched the wheel. I'm like your always super carefull??? Remember??? She said its not my fault someone cut her off, I'm like how do you get cut off pulling in a parking space? I tell her this is why I don't want anyone but me to drive my car, and my car is never driven to Costco or Walmart. She finally stopped asking to drive, Victory! |

Easily done by any one that drives with normal size alloys, I did it once when I switched my 18 to 19 inch, some places are just design to cause damage to rims regardless how careful you are!
The good news you in a position to invest more in your car without opposition from your other half normally the brain behind our wallets lead by our hearts when down to cars. |
