In Belgium, the black panel will be available from production march 2011.
I've ordered a F10 with that option

Did you have to order it with the HUD - Option 610?

Am I wrong to assume the HUD options comes with the full black panel display. Its not a different option but instead the new design of the HUD.

These two features are not related, but some regions bundle them together; possibly to add the perceived value of the HUD option, and encourage more people to add that option.

On the BMW NA website, when you add the HUD option it shows the full black panel. I am guessing that if you add HUD for US spec, it includes the full black panel display?

BMW is trying to justify $1300 for HUD by "throwing in" the new display.

Figured as much, it is a bit pricey and the full panel after seeing it without is more doable for $1300.

No, I didn't had to order HUD. Only the option 6WA was enough
If you order HUD, the extended black panel is included than. No need to take 6WA.
