registered the new battery like a BAWSE. easy peasy. thanx to everyone for the help. i've tried to set up some parameters to monitor but they arent going as well for me. im assuming absolute manifold pressure is our 'boost gauge' but it only works sporadically. and, even at that, you have to convert hPa to psi.

Good thing we have a friendly forum member who was able to fix it via real coding. There's definitely a risk involved and I would be hesitant to use it if you don't have a backup option of reversing it via something other than the app itself.

Yeah that was pretty bad. air bags most likely
would not have gone off if you got in a crash. I think we can fix the TPMS the same way we fixed the original problem.

Does anyone know or anyone using a non Carly OBD 2 wireless ? Does it work or is this software going to bug out unless you are using their adapter?

So, I did some coding today on a F10 and F31 using Carly WiFi 2nd Gen for IOS.

What worked for F10:

-Comfort Close Windows via / Fob
-Comfort Close Trunk via / Fob
-Digital Speed on cluster
-Cancel window roll up/down if door is opened
-Cancelled drivers side seatbelt warning

What did NOT work on F10 are:
-Door LEDs on when in reverse
-M Logo on cluster (when this option is selected mine shows M550d?????)
-I could not get rid of any of the legal disclaimers since their latest drive module is not updated yet

What worked on F31
-Comfort close windows via Fob
-Cancel seatbelt warning on drivers side
-Cancel window roll up/down if door is opened
-Turn signals set to 5 flashes (F10 did not offer this option)
-Door Leds on when reverse is engaged
-Digital Speed on cluster


What did NOT work on F31
-No option to close the power trunk via fob

There are several other things that I wanted to code which is not an option at the moment

-Reduce the speed to 10mph to activate blind spot monitoring
-Allow fog lights to come on without headlights (F31)
-Activate rear fog lights (F31)
-Allow fogs to stay on with brights
-DRLs 100% when headlights are on

I guess I am going to have to have one of the local coders to do the rest.

Overall, Carly is an ok product that allows you to do some basic stuff.

FYI, the non Carly adapters used to work for all the functions but after the recent updates it will work for all the functions except coding. If you were to click on the coding section this menu would appear. Battery registration, parameters, diagnostics, service reset and etc still works.

ELM327 wifi has worked for me. Costs about 10 bucks. It won't allow for coding on F series but you can use it to clear codes and errors. On my e90 it worked for coding everything. If you get it password is usually 0123456789

I bough into this app in hopes of getting DVD in motion working so I can keep my kids entertained but after emailing Carly they have pulled it off the list temporarily bec they have received reports of issues. They said it should be back in the next few weeks.
There are also a few pieces options in the coding that doesn't seem to work properly. By any means the program isn't perfect but we are all humans.
Would definitely still recommend it. Great app for the price. I think there wifi adapter is on the pricey end for sure.

I got the fault code ECU: VIN Wrong - 800A23. It has to do with the ECU KAFAS. This issue caused the lane departure feature to malfunction. Could someone please help me fix this problem.

Carly has updated the software recently. I did have to reconfigure my phone to get ot to connect, but once connected I was able to retract the rear brake calipers, this is a new addition. It works as advertised.

Hi all,

I just bought the carly app (full, new version) + adapter (the small one, second generation) and connected to car (F11, 2013, 2.0 d, NBT)
It shows me 10 ECU to be able to change but once trying to code it says 'it cannot be coded. Nothing has been changed' It says also, try during running of engine (which is crazy because it is plugged and cannot recognize that the engine IS running) and to try with slow speed coding (I did, same issue)

Any recommendation?

Update: Issue solved. Try not use Carly with Samsung A6. Coding won't work.

Recommendations would be turn off your motor when flashing. I killed my LPFP accidentally. Grant it was weak already, and got a free one under recall, but still a PITA

not worth it unless you're just not confident following instructions and navigating computer software. I bought app and tried using a bluetooth adapter I had but later discovered I had to use there adapter to do any actual coding or perform most of the app functions.

I just installed windows bootcamp and my Macbook Pro and followed the instructions to install E-sys and the cheatcodes. I coding majority of the things i needed in less than 30mins.
