N63 cant go paste 21psi because of twin bank issues. the N63tu can run 25-26 psi without issue because of dual ecu's, which can control both banks better.

sorry typo.. I meant BFS (Boost Fail Safe)

The default setting was 2.0 on the stage 2, I had mine cranked up quite a bit.

That's the point of the JB4 and 3.5 sensors. It lies to the computer about the boost and allows you to run over 21#. The computer just won't report accurate #s anymore.

Terrys response: "On the N63 platform a huge hold up in performance is the lack of twin bank wastegate control on the JB4. At higher boost levels the banks go out of sync, and there is no mechanism to bring them back in sync. We may develop another N63 board to accommodate this issue if there is sufficient demand. But, it seems to be the N63 is fast approaching a dead platform."p

Their product car hit those numbers and it was initially what they wanted but the tune wasn’t stable for public release. This is why I cranked my BSF up after my first few drives with the Stage 2.
How high do you have your BFS?

nor will your AFRs be anywhere near accurate, actually if the ecu calculates for 18psi but your jb4 lies and pushes 24psi you your motor is close to burnt! Lean running motors are dangerous enough. hot V lean motors are not well thought out

.
I don't have the JB4 for my 16 550i, because..... I already feel cheated on how quickly the car gets to 60/70 mph and don't need help getting tickets.

I have a different opinion on the DPs with turbos though, which I did (then an intake because the O2 CEL mod doesn't work well with stock airboxes) and that difference was pretty night and day, both to my wife and I.

As you say, it doesn't actually add power, but the turbos are freed up from the get-go and through the whole power range. I'd definitely want an AWD 550 if there were even more power so I wouldn't spin my tires. So while I don't need more power, I want the power available to be more efficient.
