Dinan Badge or No Badge?

I received this from the lovely folks at Dinan. What do you think? De-badge the factory 550i emblem and replace? Use just the Dinan on the left side? Neither?

The documentation specifies it is for the E60 but it should still work.

Was never a fan of the "dinan" badge on any bmw. The badge looks cheap to me

Better off just getting the dinan "D" decal and put it on the small rear side window if you want to display it. More subtle...

These badges (same goes for car dealerships and the crap that they attach to new cars) are nothing more than a FREE advertisement for Dinan (or car dealership, if you also have their badges/stickers/license plate frames). If you're ok with someone else's advertisements on your car (for which you won't get paid even a single $0.01) - then stick them on. Personally I prefer to have as "clean"-looking car as possible instead of driving something like this:

I'd put it on a car you'd never expect to have any performance enhancements like a Prius or a Honda Insight.

Rule of thumb: If it doesn't enhance your car's performance in any way, don't install/remove it.

Good idea, actually. Correspondingly, a sticker like this would look awesome on a car with 400hp engine and a Dinan flash:

Of course that would require other people to have a proper sense of humor to "get it".

When I picked up my BMW at the dealer there was a sticker on the rear screen advertising his company. I requested him 100 euros/month for keeping it
He removed the sticker!

My opinion would be no badge. Doesn't add anything to your car. In the end though, what do you want to do?

If you said documentation is for E60, that means the F10 550i didn't earned the badge. It would be embarrassing to have the badge and not supporting parts. It is like having an M5 badge on a 5 series.
