Backup Camera refit into 550i GT?

Hello there. We just picked up a new 550i GT demo and stole it for over 25k under invoice. With only 2k miles and warranty to 55k miles or mid 2014 perfect color combo it was a no-brainer. Only thing it did not come with was Xdrive, HUD, Paddles, rear lux seats & camera packages.

Figured for the savings I could add the rear camera for a relative small expense. I know for a fact that it is offered on other BMW's as OEM kit in the past. Has anyone else heard of adding one successfully? It does not bother me as I use the sensors, its for the misses who is selectively tone def ... LOL

The parts are there in RealOEM so physically, you can certainly add this to the car. Where it gets dicey is whether or not you have the harness existing in the car, and to what extent that the computer will need programming..if any.

bmwretrofit.com will be able to do the coding remotely to add module to the VO for a very small cost. If the car does not have the harness then you will need to run the cables through the car.
