Carbon fiber parts should be arriving anytime soon.

When taking on such an ambitious color change one should properly disassemble the car and paint it properly. The extent to which the car was masked, and items not removed is abhorrent in my eyes. If a shop did this to my car they'd own it.

Could you enlighten us? Cause it looks fine to me? Body parts were painted separatly, even the door jambs painted.

I'm sure he's referring to things like Post 3 of thread, last picture near the door corner where the door corner meets fender. Usually if the door jambs are painted, all doors are removed. Without removing the doors, there's no way to get a good even coat in-between. Not to mention the engine bay.

I spent all day putting all the body parts together.

I need your suggestions below.

1. Should I keep the body colored door pillars and trim?
2. Black out the door pillars and trim?
3. Wrap the roof in carbon fiber?
4. Add carbon fiber accents on the hood?
5. For the front lip 3D Style or RPK Style?
6. Add carbon fiber 3D Style Side Skirts?
7. Add carbon fiber roof spoiler?

Absolutely not, this looks terrible as is.

YES!

I would.

I would. You went with a very aggressive color, you need to add the appropriate accents now.
5. For the front lip 3D Style or RPK Style
Your personal preference.
6. Add carbon fiber 3D Style Side Skirts?
I would.
7. Add carbon fiber roof spoiler?
If you wrap the roof in CF, yes. If not, then the roof spoiler should match the roof.

NO!

black them out or wrap the pillars in carbon fiber vinyl again!

Just the gills

I prefer the 3d Style

Definitely go with the 3D style

Thanks I'm in the shop right now getting the roof and pillars wrapped in carbon fiber.

Not a fan of black roofs, but to each their own. I never understood the draw....

IMHO the door frames and "B" pillars should be black (flat or gloss matching the grill) or black chrome (I've read about black chrome vinyl).

I would ave also done the mirrors in body color. That could be a nod to a little OCD though...

Black roofs are common among all makes like Audi, BMW'S, Mercedes, Porsche, ect. It's really preference.

To me it's a fad just like black wheels. My first thought was black wheels hide the brake dust. How many Mercedes' do you see running around with "black" front wheels...

Personally I don't get the point why you are repainting your car to get a real color change (which is amazing!!!!) , and then afterwards you are using cheap carbon fiber wrap??
Why not simply from the beginning painting these accents with black gloss colour?

Nevertheless, your car is very nice, i love it!

Pretty damn SICK! LOVE how the carbon fiber vinyl came out on the roof and door pillars! Gonna definitely do mine after winter! Can't wait to see it with the roof spoiler and skirt extensions! Hawt Hawt Hawt!

It's a local shop I had to go there really early yesterday so that I was the first one. It took 2.5 Hours to wrap the roof and door pillar trims.

Will keep you guys posted when I install the parts.

I have the 3D Style front lip I might install it today to see how it would look.

Will post pictures when get to install it today.
