F10 535I headlight condensation.

Hello everyone.

My left headlight gets completely filled with condensation when its cold out and has been raining. Stays like that for days. I took off the bumper and the headlight, but found out that it’s not cracked. Disassembled it completely and filled it with water, no leaks anywhere. Replaced the bulb covers and all the little ventilation rubbers, put everything back together and it still gets filled with condensation. I noticed on the left side when taking off the bumper, there was water behind the wheel cowl that’s been sitting there and I’m guessing it can’t drain out, but thats a good 5-6 inches away from the headlight. Any idea what might be causing this condensation?

Send it in for repair. It's leaking from somewhere. Also, bumper does not need to be removed to take off headlight.

I had to take it off for repainting. Decided to do both at once. Covered the whole headlight in soapy water and blew with an air compressor, nothing. Then disassembled it completely and filled with water. Juggled it around and no leaks from anywhere. What more can a shop do?

Use loads of soapy water, then create somep pressure by blowing compressed air into your headlight. Most likely you'll need to re-seal it.

Does anybody have a place they used to have them re sealed ?
