I'm about to pull the trigger on the Eisenmann Race Exhaust for F10 550...I think it sounds great and at the right level, but I'm unsure about the drone. Is it really that bad? Is it only noticeable at ~2k Rpm? Does the sport mode helps to avoid the drone? Too many questions, I know
Much appreciated for your comments!

It's my 2 weeks of riding eisenmann race exhaust on and can hear the drone between 1800 ~ 2200 rpm constantly when you push the gas. I was driving with my girl friend to hour and a half of high way driving and she stopped talking after 30 mins. of ride. I didn't think it was terrible, but regular calm driver like my girl friend could not handle it. For the local drive, you are not going to find any problem with drone. It is pretty quite. I personally think this sound is awesome and fun to drive.

Great to hear that! Glad that you are happy with it! Right now I'm 60% Race, 40% Sport...Hope to see some more opinions.

If you change to sports mode, the drone actually reduce alot. Starting with 2000 rpm definitly helps and my G Friends handled it. I just want to tell you to get race version. For my taste, race version is still to quite and I actually little disappointed too. For a minute, I was regret to hv meir schaft instead of eisenmann. Once my exhaust break up, I will definitly going to change Y pipe to make sound little louder. If you like quite mode, but the right sound like little AMG version, Race will be your good choice. I think smaller sound than race version will be just wasting money!

You mean that cat-less, extralarge-downpiped, straight pipe G35? Any car can be ridiculous if you remove everything from the engine to the tailpipe. Not recommended. Exhausts on our cars are supposed to add "flavor" to the sound. Not some POS ricer. Have class and be proud of it.

I just order Eisenmann race. I wanted some thing not too crazy but some nice vroom sound. I was debating between sports and race but after I heard ceebange's race exhaust in person, race was definitely what I wanted. Its not really crazy loud at all. Just gives u nice smile on ur face when u step on gas! Especially what I really like is the cold start sound. The sound will blow u away!!!
IMO race exhaust all the way!!! U will never regret!!!

Russky! Eisenmann don't give you clamps anymore. you will hv to weld it. When you get your exhaust, don't worry about it. I found out eisenmann used to send clamps before, but not anymore. When you install it, make sure the tips are measured evenly and tell the installer to make sure "eisenmann sign" clearly shows up. When I installed first time, they put my tips to deep. I had to bring it back and it took another two hours to do it. Weldding job is not is, so just make sure. You don't want to bring it back again...

Eisenmann exhaust is definitely the route to go, I heard about many other unknown brands but at the end of the day, you have to go with a proven brand.

The exhaust just arrived today and I the clamps were inside. I think it would be better to just weld it, or?...

Agree. Eisenmann ftw
My choice could've been Akrapovic, but they don't make it for 550...

A couple more days and I'll be testing it
Definitely expect to have a smile on my face every day while driving lol

Congrate! I will receive mine on Monday next week. Definitely u have to weld them. After weld, just tell installer to put clamps where they weld. So will look much nicer and hide the welded area since they send u the clamps.

hmmm~ that's weird! Anyway welcome to eisenmann world. I prefer to weld, but you gotta make sure "do it right" as I told you before. Other wise, it's pretty hard to re-align again. The place I installed had extra clamps, so they acutally covered where it was weld. Just like Noblemann said. It's not a big deal to put clamps after weld, but when you see the back side from 30 ~ 40 feet away, you can actually see clamps underneath it. I like it better than nothing. It all matters what you think.

Ok, so it's been almost a week from the day I installed the Eisenmann Race Exhaust and all I can say is I really like everything about it! First day I was worried about the drone and it seemed loud, but after a couple of days it got quieter, or maybe I got used to it. Sport mode definitely helps. Anyways, it doesn't bother me or my wife anymore. Will post some pics of the car when my new set of wheels arrive...
Thanks everyone for the help. I'm very happy with the purchase!
