Calling all F10 on 20" wheels with no drop!

hi guys, so I'm new to the world of the F10 chassis i use to own a E92 and a E82. I now currently have a F10 2012 528i with adaptive dampening control due to the sport mode /comfort. Can some one please chime in with 20" wheels with no drop OEM stance and tell me what the gap from the edge of the bottom of the fender to the tip top of the tire thread front and rear. preferably in inches please. LMAO this doesn't sound right lol

The gap will be the same, no matter the rim dimension, so long as you follow the BMW recommended wheel sizes. For 20" these are 245/35 up front and 275/30 in the rear. With such wheels the total wheel diameter is the same as with 18" stock wheels.

In other words: wheel diameter is constant, no matter the rim size. The bigger the rim, the lower the tire's side wall.

And so the gap is the same.

Mine was around 2" up front and more than 1,5" in the rear before the drop. With H&R springs, the gap reduced to around 0,5" up front and almost none in the rear.

(mind that my car is equipped with x-drive)

8.5x20" front rims
9.5x20" rear rims

245/35 front rubber
275/30 rear

Drop comes only from using H&R Springs. I run on stock dampers

In my gallery you can see pics of my car just after installing the rims and springs. Since then, the drop has deepened and the car sits about 0,5" lower all around

haven't measured but my gap is basically the same as yours. It changes though, uphill downhill, direction on the hill. Need a small drop so i'm going Dinan. Wanted Eibach, easy to get and cheap but too low. When i load up the car with Family it looks lowered lol!
