Connected Drive Expired
Hey guys. So my connected drive subscription just expired and I was browsing around the forums and saw many people mention that you're supposed to get 3 years. I was just in the dealership yesterday and the service tech said it's only one year. Now to renew they want some hefty payment.
Is there any way to do this that's cheaper. Also is it 1 or 3 years that you get with the car. Thanks! |

I always heard it was 3 years as well. Mine just expired recently. I only used it a couple of times, so I don't miss it, but to my surprise, if I get a text message to my phone, I can still read and reply to it from iDrive.

Just curious if you don't mind me asking, how much did they want?

I believe it was about $150. Now, it doesn't seem THAT bad but for something where I'm not using all the time and only using a few features such as traffic (Which I feel should be included with the NAV Pro ) I think its overpriced. |

I might consider doing that but let's see if I can get this extended at least for the 3 year term. |

Bmw-connecteddrive.co.uk You will have to register, and add car details if you don't already have an account. However, you can peruse the connecteddrive store without logging in. |

I'm in the US so I don't think it would let me register on U.K. end. Plus another problem I found with trying to register the car online is that my car was originally a fleet car and it says that a fleet car cannot be registered for connected drive. Anyone know what I should do?

For the US try
https:/connecteddrive.bmwusa.com/cdp/release/internet/servlet/login?local=en_US It should not matter that the car was a fleet car, there is no logical reason to deny access to connecteddrive that I can think of. You might get an accurate answer by contacting bmw North America |
