Leaked Images of 2014 BMW 5 Series and M5 LCI Facelift
BIMMERPOST NEWS Leaked Images of 2014 BMW 5 Series and M5 LCI Facelift With the 2014 5 Series LCI (facelift) reveal being imminent, first official photo of the updated F10 5 Series sedan, touring and GT has been leaked. This follows up on the F10 M5 LCI being (inadvertently?) revealed by BMW on BMW.de a few days back, but these images have since been pulled from the website. 5 Series LCI - F10, F11, F07 As we've seen in past spy photos, the LCI 5 Series receiving a slightly restyled front end (most notably the sportier headlights and the new dart lines between the kidney grilles and headlights). The 2014 models will also include optional LED headlights with squared-off coronal rings. The M Sport package aero kit receives no styling updates to the front fascia. We still do not know the official list of mechanical changes, but 5 Series LCI changes have been to include updated steering and the N63Tu engine (445hp / 480 lb-ft) for the 550i. The interior will receive the new iDrive Touch system and the M Sport package interior will have a new steering wheel - from the F30 M Sport model. See previous spy pic in the link above. What we see are the same exact changes as revealed in these recent spy photos: Compare to current 5 Series: F10 M5 The leaked F10 M5 LCI images show that the 2014 M5 does not receive any front end restyling, save for the double slat M6-style grilles with M5 badge. Spyshots also show that the 2014 M5 will also include optional LED headlights with squared-off coronal rings. But, on the inside, it does receive a new steering wheel - from the M6, iDrive Touch system and new silver trim around the navigation screen. F10 M5 Competition Package The biggest change to come to the 2014 M5 LCI will be the availability of a Competition Package (7MA), which will include the following. • HP increase (approximately 15-20hp) • Top speed increase • M Carbon Ceramic Brakes • Sport suspension • Sport exhaust with black tips • Enhanced steering • 20" competition wheels • Rumored to be priced in Europe at € 9800EUR (M5) and € 12000EUR (M6) This has not yet been revealed officially, but we repost some video and photos below. |

Kind of ridiculous they didn't change front end of the m5 to look like the rest of them. I don't dig the new steering wheel either. It would be nice of them to offer m5 touring btw, but anyway right now I'm truly excited to see how will alpina b5 touring look.

Traditionally, are M steering wheels different than then non-M counterparts? Of late I'm seeing it but has it always been the norm?
