Blackberry emails can be accessed by i-Drive via bluetooth...video embedded!

Just check this out! I want this in my new F 10! Does anyone know after which production year this technology will be an option for our cars?

Follow the link below and enjoy!

Would love to have this feature in my car, but I'm very skeptical it would ever make it to the U.S. due to liability concerns.

What was funny about the video was the interviewer being impressed with how the contacts on the Blackberry sync with the BMW via Bluetooth. That feature has been standard on the BMW since 2007.

Are you serious? Why would I want to read e-mails while I am driving? I love the other new features like the real traffic info, etc, but this is something that puzzles me.

Impressive technology but not a good idea in my opinion. We have enough problems and accidents with people talking and texting. Now we're going to have people reading emails on their IDrive while trying to stay in their own lane???? Don't like this at all.

No way this will make it to our market. Its illegal to text and drive in several big metro areas, how is this really any different?

The thought of a 17 year old girl cruisin down the highway at 70 reading her emails on her brand new Bimmer that her daddy bought me scares me

Reading these emails on my iDrive will be a lot safer than using my BB like I do currently. Just don't make me type my response by using the wheel to select each letter - now that would be dangerous!

Isn't that the same feature for the 2011 iDrives mentioned in this thread?
