Swicth to a 5er

Hope everyone is well I been on a ON and OFF search for a f10
I just recently stumbled across this white 535i Xdrive
All the other post I presented everyone was helpful on determining if it's worth the price with the options the specific f10 was carrying
Was wondering if we could narrow down everything for this one

Non mobile link for everyone not on a phone..

Seems scary cheap! About $7.5-10k short of where I would expect it to be...
Few quick things, what is up with lower trunk paint?
Not a true M-Sport, but does appear to atleast be a Sport.

When I was searching for a car I saw a few sites in NY that had too good to be true prices, most were "after" a down payment that wasn't disclosed upfront...

OK, there are few local private NY and NJ dealers that sell super cheap cars. Usually, they are in an accident and rebuilt title. I bet if you pull the carfax it will show some accident. If carfax comes clean. I would seriously get this looked at by trusted shop.
edit: Also majority of this dealers are super shady and comes with bad reviews. Just do a simple search on their history. Avoid and save up and buy something more legit.

Look at the CL ad: You must have a 780+ credit score to be qualified for advertisement Price.

If the CarFax happens to come back clean, check the AutoCheck. We ended up gettng burned by CarMax on a VW by them claiming the CarFax was clean, when we found out months later, that the car was in a accident before CarMax sold it.

As others have said, the small dealerships always give me a bad feeling, and there are mostly always fees they throw in at the last minute or "bait" cars that they list. I would search for cars that are at least at a brand dealership (Chevrolet, Audi, Honda, etc.)

Why don't the headlight washer doors sit flush. The "paint" on the wheels looks odd... Old Plasti-Dip? Looks like it was a base 5X that had quite a bit of modification.

They seem to acquire higher end cars... 6-Series and Caddy in background. Their location looks pretty flighty also...

Tons of visibly poor quality modifications for sure, wouldn't surprise me if an accident was involved. But Ive never been one to trust small off brand dealers, Id much prefer they know all the ins and outs and will be there if/when something goes wrong. The f10 market is very favorable right now, bmw dealers are giving these away right now with the incoming g30.

It is an aftermarket front MSport bumper.
My car has the same kinda thing, its not OEM fit and finish. I forget the brand, but the original owner got it from a forum vendor/sponsor that everyone likes.

Not saying he should go for this, but noting that alone isn't end of the world..

And it gets worse. The previous owner obviously didn't actually care about the car with the wannabe M5 front bumper that doesn't nearly fit properly and then to adorn it with an M5 badge on the grill!

As this car was built in June 2010 it is missing the all important Combox so unless retrofitted you will be sorely lacking on the technology front.

I'd keep looking.

"If we can't approve you the car is free"

But in all seriousness, buying a car with that kind of mileage (second one you posted has 90k) comes with a lot of risk, especially since its from a dealer not specializing in BMW cars. Also the craigslist ad says you need 780 score, and the price doesnt even include "15-30% down payment". These appear to be your typical shady dealerships, who prey on people looking for a nice ride at a "cheap" price. With all the fees and hidden costs (plus whatever rate you get approved for), that 17k car is going to be well up in the mid to high 20s

Yup. Like SilverRevlis said look at Honda, AUDI, other car dealers. You will get good and bad before you buy the car. You can search the vin history and get the details. You will pay more but you are getting a good car. You can always negotiate. Do not give your money to this scumbags small private dealers. They are looking for people and will do anything to you put in a car.
